Copper body with a small white head. The aroma is a pretty mild mix of hops and malt. The flavor is mellow and well balanced. Nice, but nothing really stands out.

Sample from brewpub. Pours golden orange with white head. Aromas of toasted malts, grassy hops, and some light citrus. Flavors of toasted malts, some citrus, grassy hops that bring some bitterness, and little bit of caramel. Decent pale.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured light amber with a small off-white head. Aroma and flavor were caramel malt, some doughiness, lots of resinous and grassy hops. A bit sweet, but finished quite dry. Lightish body. Solid APA.

Draft at the pub. Nose is caramel, toast and light citrus. Flavor is the same with a bit more lemon and some resin. Light-medium body is smoothly carbonated and well-balanced with a nice dry finish.

Rustyham (1836) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - FEB 15, 2011
Color of Apple juice. Aroma of apples, hops, juice, and grape fruit. Flavor is smooth amber malt, slight hop presence, very juicy. Palate is refreshing. On tap at the brewhouse.

Ughsmash (7510) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 5, 2010
On tap at Terminal. Poured hazy medium golden with a dense, well-retained white head.. sticky lacing followed it down. The aroma picked up very sweet caramel and nutty malts with deeper-rooted bread and earthy hoppage.. really nice. The flavor found caramel and bread at the core touched by a pinch of honey.. much more bitter than the nose indicated, led by pine and earthy notes.. dry, artificially-sweetened finish. Light-medium bodied, dry, and a little scratchy on the palate.. nice hops initially, but they seemed a little stale by the end.. decent stuff.

Pours cloudy orange/tan with white head and lots of lace. Grassy hop aroma with a touch of citrus. Some bready malts in the nose, too. Flavor starts with a touch of grainy malts and bready malts with a touch of wheat. Grassy hop flavor. Bready clean bitter finish with grassy but somewhat neutral bitterness from hops. Mouthfeel is smooth with modest carbonation - dry and light/medium bodied. Overall, a little light in flavor but a decent hoppy session beer. Lighter in flavor than expected based on the beer’s strength (5.6%abv).
