Two finger head, pours cloudy. Sweet roasted malt with a little coffee on the nose. Creamy front, great mouth feel. Pleasant malt taste with lingering bitterness. cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 17, 2013
Bottle. Pours murky bottle brown with a large khaki head. Excellent retention and lace. Easy 4. Sweet chocolate, light roast malts and earthy hops. Light-med sweetness with a medium body, thin-oily texture, soft carbonation and a light bittersweet roasted finish. chicowv (477) - Canaan Valley, West Virginia, USA - FEB 24, 2013
12 oz bottle: Pours dark, cloudy, ruby red with a nice head. Aroma of caramel malts, espresso and spruce. Bitter malts, coffee and lively hops. Thick, chewy but smooth and slightly bitter. Very interesting, not a porter but mroe like a dark red hop bomb with cofee and espresso. Imaena (2359) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - JAN 15, 2013
Draught @ Savoy Bistro Portland OR. The pint was in a bit of a state but the porter managed to shine through. Nice toasty brew.

Draft at the Pine Box, Seattle. Rosy, ruddy rose brown, mild foamy head. Milt toast aroma, smooth alt, oddly sweet. Funky micro. Not very good, and not much that makes me think of breakfast or porter.

12oz bottle. Pours murky reddish brown with thin off-white head. Aroma is sharply bitter hops and malts. Taste is rich caramel malts and bold hop bitterness. Quite pale for a porter... was expecting the malts to be much more roasted and dark. I guess that’s the breakfast part. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - NOV 27, 2012
12-oz. Pours a murky dark brown with a scant loose tan rim. Big milk chocolate nose with a little bit of roast showing. Creamy medium body, almost thick, with soft carb. Big chocolatey burst on the attack, followed by roast and mild herbal hop. Soft chocolate finish. Definitely sessionable. boFNjackson (4230) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 12, 2012
Bottle... Poured deep, dark brown with a thick forming, khaki head. Nice retention. Nose was mild, just doughy, bready, toasted malts. This came through on the palate too with a hint of roast. Light, fizzy, and almost dry with the mouthfeel. With a British-inspired ale ester component in the finish. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - OCT 23, 2012
Draught @ Brouwer’s Cafe:   Must be the bottom of the keg, pours like chocolate milk... no joke.   Super thick and dirty brown, large frothy light beige head, nice lacing.   Pale roasty nose, a bit of cocoa or chocolate.   Similar tongue, sweet cocoa roastiness, not too big or robust, body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Clean finish, soft roasted malts and cocoa.   Very straight forward, nothing out of the ordinary, perhaps a bit more cocoa and chocolate versus others.   Good, albeit a little scary with the look of this chocolate milk!   Breakfast is right! Dark brown beer with a gorgeous ,thick, frothy cream coloured head.
Coffee, and chocolate aromas..not particularly dark versions of either but nice
Taste is the same..with the addition of a bit of fig and some ash..pleasant again the descriptor.
Nice palate to this one..smooth and silky not rough
Overall nice trad style porter
