COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Terminal Gravity ESG is an American Golden Ale. Light and refreshing but also complex, with a crispness from flaked rye and a hint of peat smoke. Subtle hops from the Rhine and Yakima river valleys do not overwhelm.

Strykzone's rating

3.5

12 ounce bottle from Hayduke. This is cloudy golden with a nice off white head. The first thing I smell is pepper but it is light in the flavor. I taste grain and soft yeast. Mild bitterness tells me there some hops to be found. There is a sourness underneath. Mid glass I begin to taste more pepper and it is what could be found in a farmhouse style and it could pass for a saison. This is unique and somewhat intetesting.

Pours relatively clear golden, nice fluffy white head. Aroma is grainy, bit of wet cardboard there, probably not the freshest beer around. Tastes sweetish, crisp malts, some honey sweetness. Finishing dry and with some dry bitterness scorching my tongue for a bit longer. Drinks OK, feels maybe slightly oxidised and overall, still not very complicated. Would like to have it when its at its freshest, probably would bee pretty nice summer day companion.

From a bottle. It’s a thin and refreshing beer with some fruity hop flavours. Nice beer.

IndianaRed (4546) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 8, 2016
On tap hazy golden peach color thin soapy off white head Web like lacing. Standard light malt slightly bready flavors. A bit amped up and enough noble hop bitterness to give it some character.

Lasting thin white head that settles to the edge atop a clouded golden. Nose of fruit and nail polish. Tart front, thin. Boring.

Bottle from Brewster’s, Point Roberts, WA
Cloudy golden color, creamy head. Dry and lean, with some vegetables, correct bitterness, maybe some light infection. Average.

12 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out bread malt, some cardboard, and English hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready malt, tart citrus and some lightly stale cardboardy notes. Nothing special, but it works well enough.

maekchu (3847) - Hirakata, JAPAN - NOV 1, 2015
Bottle from Kumiyama AEON Mall liquor shop. Light fruit nose, overripe citrus, hay. Hazy medium amber color. Some sweet malt up front, a bit of grass, small peppery note, dusty, and mildly dry in finish. Thin-medium body. Okay.

caramel, earthy, golden, hazy, lightly sour, medium body, slick feel, flat. Faint grainy/earthy aroma with a hint of lemon. Very balanced in taste, a nice tart finish that evaporates in an instant. The flatness is definitely in its favor.

mjg74 (3093) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUN 9, 2015
Bottle from Roth’s. Medium golden/brownish in color. Lightly fruity nose with some sweetness and a bit of breadiness. Flavor is somewhat bready with a little bit of an earthy hop character. Fairly bright for the earthiness of the brew.
