Draft at Naked City. Golden toffee with egg shell colored creamy head with sticky lacing. Lightly sweet peach, bready malt and some light resinous hops. Hoppy up front then rolls into fleshy pitted fruit with nice malted backbone. Good winter seasonal. BillKismet (4103) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 4, 2010
Gorgeous orange-amber maroonish body with a layer of tan cream on top. Easy hoppiness relents into malt and a wave of fruitiness. Moderate apricot and dried fruit that feel vaguely of a barleywine, yet are much restrained. The alcohol content is exceedingly well harnessed and never distracts. The body is layered with malt and fruitiness, most prominently peach and apricot. Some crystal candi sugar notes. A flavorful, well-rounded winter warmer. gracefullypunk (667) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 26, 2009
Orange red with a thick cream head. Has a very very faint IPA smell. Earthy and spicy with some sugar. One of the smoothest beers I’ve ever had. Citrus and grass in the taste and the bitter finish lingers. Beardface (1517) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - DEC 15, 2009
Tap at Horse Brass. Poured a dark reddish brown with a thick tan topper. Aroma of plums and other dark fruit, a bit of a port smell and some nutmeg. Flavor was dark fruit, caramel, brown sugar and a little beat of yeast. Very flavorful and tasty, I wish TG would bottle more of their beers. carruthm (1401) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 14, 2009
Blind taste at concordia. lightly sugary aroma with a mild bitter finish. Very good balance.

On tap at Bailey’s Taproom in Portland, OR. Colour... dark amber with a thick head. Nose... sweetly malty, some mash character and booze as well. Palate... good CO2 punch to start, lots o’ hops up front, malty, biscuity, and plenty of toffee on the back palate. Doesn’t seem like 9% ABV. This could really sneak up on a person! stchloe (1104) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 31, 2009
Another really good beer, unfortunately this was my last of OBF. Wow that ABV takes you for a ride. Very strong malt body and a bitter quality throughout. thooper41 (556) - BELGIUM - JUL 28, 2009
Oregon Brew Fest: amber brown hazy with white head, flavor has a nice mix of malt and spices and some caramel. PDXSuds (2) - USA - JUL 26, 2009 does not count
A little muddled and turbid. But very flavorful. Big and warming. Spicy and well balanced raphael (1286) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 25, 2009
It’s muky but also appealing, like a bran muffin or plum pudding, but cold, a little body chewiness, thats okay, maybe oatmeal. the aroma is solidly blaanced tween malt and hops, so at moments i dont smell either. dome spice, maybe cardamon. similar spice in the flavor, the fruit flavor not quite peach or plum, reined in by hte hops, towards the piney, but balanced by the fruit.
