Tap... Poured a hazy ruby with a beige head. Floral aroma with leafy hops and maybe brown sugar, well, something sweet. Highly carbonated and it had a foamy texture. Flavors of dry hops, caramel, malt, and plums for an extra sweetness. Besides the intense carbonation, this seemed pretty close to a Barley Wine. jake65 (3626) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - FEB 2, 2008
Draft at TFD Boise: Pours a muddy orange color with a large sandy head. Aroma is intense with floral and citrus hoppiness, just a little malty sweets. I really liked the hop presence here, potent, but in balance with the caramel malt. This was really enjoyable. BuckeyeBoy (7535) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 27, 2007
On tap at the Front Door Boise, ID. Pours out a nice amber topped with a nice tan head. A great aroma of hops all over it. A nice mix of sweetness and bitter. A very good brew. IndianaRed (4546) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 27, 2007
On tap at the Front Door. Clear medium amber with a nice full light tan head. Big carmel sweet malty aroma with a little hop bite. Flavor is balanced and gig. Almost barleywinish. Faded subdued hops and a thock smooth feel. nice. Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 24, 2007
Thanks to Gareth for the taster--Poured a deep brown-mahogany hue with a small rocky off-white head. Nose of sweet malts and biting piny hops. Sweet and fruity notes with mildly nutty flavors. Pretty good, as most TG beers are.

Well executed winter brew. Nice nutbrown color with fine carbonation. Sweet, thick, hoppy all in balance. Not overwhelmingly inspiring, but one of the best winter seasonals i tried this year. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JAN 10, 2007

Mmmm...this amber American Winter Warmer is darn tasty....sweet with a softly hoppy nose and body. really easy to drink so I had another pint.
Very nice and I liked it a lot. Nicely caramel with the hops keeping the malt from going overboard. Doesn’t coat the mouth so it’s tasty in that good way without being smackingly overwhelming. pinkzambia (1931) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 2, 2006
Tap at The Front Door: Yaaaayyy! I get to be the 10th rater! This one is a beauty! Murky brown pnd water in color with a tan fluffy head. It sports a juniper hop aroma as well in taste. The aftertaste is sweet, but balanced. I liked it alot!
