22oz bottle in a tasting glass. Pours deep amber with a beige head. Aroma of strong caramel and toffee malts, a little oak and vanilla, and some light bitterness. Flavor the same. Average to smooth texture. A pretty cool barley wine.

Growler from Exhibit A(le). Dark brown pour with a small, tan head. The aroma is molasses, oak, vanilla, rye bread, and hop spiciness. Very sweet and some savory spiciness. Heavy body, sticky, and syrupy. Overall, this is a very delicious, heavy, and surprisingly easy-drinking beer. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 16, 2012
(22oz bottle) clear ruby, ring of for tan bubbles. Nose of honey, cream, caramel, cinnamon. Taste of cinnamon, light amercan hops, great Linger. Rich finish. Braudog (6804) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - DEC 29, 2012
Bottle. The strong alcohol-laden aroma wafted to my olfactory glands the instant I cracked this top. Poured deep, furniture-stain-brown, the head but a quick fizzle. Despite the fear of something akin to varnish, this drinks with quite a sweet, whiskey essence, a burnt sugar burn underneath. (#4875, 12/29/2012)

Bottle 33cl from Map thanks ! A cloudy dark amber beer without head and carbonation. Nose is rich on cherry, oak and lactic touch, oude bruin like profile. Aroma is very fruity on apricot, apples and cherry, mostly dry and tart, long bitter aftertaste with dark malt notes, caramel, vinous, very oily, typical oude bruin body, leather notes. Not bad just too yeast like in the finish, less clean than the Belgian versions but quite interesting. SpringsLicker (3664) - Tennessee, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Pours hazy medium brown. Almost headless, very oily appearance pouring.
Aroma is nutty, with dates, caramel, molasses and vanilla.
The flavor follows the aroma. Sweet, full bodied sipper. Some hop bitterness in this but for the most part it’s a malt forward type BW. ansermadide (1526) - Kyle, Texas, USA - FEB 23, 2013
Medium-orange/brown in color with a light brown head, this seemingly barleywine-style ale has a dull, soft malt aroma, soapy sweet, with a touch of (perhaps) rye and earthy hops in the nose. It’s a lot like a very bright old ale in the mouth, a little fruity, and syrupy sweet on the palate. It finishes a little thick, but well balanced. Very much like an English barleywine, full and meaty but not cloying. BVery (11222) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - APR 25, 2013
Bomber. Rust brown pour with minimal head. Nice nose of wood and sweet. Smooth full palate. Sweet caramel, low bitter, very nice. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - NOV 21, 2013
11/20/2012. From bottle. Brownish color with a tan head. Malty aromas with the bourbon showing well. A little sweet at first with oak and dried fruit. Warm alcohol towards the end.
