Inky black pour with a thin light tan cap. Huge cinnamon and coffee and dark roasty aromas with a gentle pepperiness. Smooth toasty roasty black malt sweetness on the flavor with loss of coffee, loads of cinnamon, loads of gentle smokey pepper, some sweet bready cinnamon roll and gentle booze heat. Really tasty.

Aroma chocolate, coffee, nuts, roasty, Appearance black, tan foam, brown foam, Taste medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium bitterness, Palate medium body, full body, Overall aged for a year this one has really come together nice. The coffee is still there but compared to a fresh wake n bake it has mellowed. Very drinkable and enjoyable. I would suggest this beer to a friend.

Opaque black with a medium sized tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark cocoa, cinnamon, maple sugar, light alcohol. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, cinnamon, and a spicy finish.

Black pour with a decent khaki layer of head and light sticky lacing .... Aroma of fresh coffee, light cinnamon, cocoa and roasted malts .... Taste has a sugary sweet flavor, dusty cocoa, spicy cinnamon (has some cinnamon roll to it), vanilla, bitter roasted coffee and light bitter bite ..... Body is thinner than I’d like for an imperial stout .... Finishes with a bitter hop bite, cinnamon, cocoa and coffee .... Abv hidden well

22 ounce bottle into snifter, 2015 vintage bottling. Pours pitch black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy dark tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted oats, dark bread, brown sugar, toffee, fudge, vanilla, light char, and roast/toasted earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and spice notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted oats, dark bread, brown sugar, toffee, fudge, vanilla, light char, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char and spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted oats, dark bread, brown sugar, toffee, fudge, vanilla, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and spice flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet and spice balance, with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from roast/spice bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an incredible coffee/spiced imperial stout! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and spice flavors; very smooth and easy to sip on for the big ABV. Really great balance between cinnamon roll and coffee stout flavors. A highly enjoyable offering.
