3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy amber appearance with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly fruity with some malt. Flavor is strong dark fruit without much else going on. Body is thin and there’s not much of a malt profile. Overall, it’s just ok and a bit too simple.
"very malty and sweet, almost to a fault. thick, full bodied. very bready in the nose and flavor with extra candi sweetness, alcohol, and a hint of tang as well. pretty good, but a little overdone." jtclockwork (17100) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 4, 2014
Bottle thanks to Springlicker. Pours orange amber with white head. Nose and taste of dark fruit, alcohol soaked fig, caramel, dark bread, yeast and malt. Medium body. jbruner (5122) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - MAR 3, 2014
Pours a hazy copper brown from the bottle with minimal lacy head. Aroma is sweet and malty, toffee and caramel, hints of Belgian yeast, dark fruitiness. Taste is much more on the dark fruity esters, hint of boozy sweetness on the back of the tongue. Almost no carbonation left, bit of a burn, too sweet for me. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 13, 2013

22 oz. bottle via trade with TheBeerSommelier - thanks again, Matt! Opened this one at Natifest 2013. Bottle 196/6168. Pours a hazed orange color with a light off-white film for a head. Aroma is dusty, with dry fruits, caramel, earth, and grains. Flavor of caramel, peanut brittle, dry grains, earth, and a little cardboard. Light-medium bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Tasted old. It is old. JStax (7125) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Bottle shared at natifest. Pours a copper with a white head of foam. Aroma has notes of berries and toffee. Taste is sweet and fruity. AndyReynolds (1085) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Bottle shared by Phaleslu (a.k.a donkey butt) fruity aroma, sweet malts, dark fruits fo sho. Palate is thick, but finish really tapers off and waters itself down. Not much head or carbonation, but it is a few years old. Ok, but not exceptional. DanielCoor (63) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Shared at Nati fest. Pours a hazy orange with thin head. Has a sweet taste with a malty boozy backbone.
