Thanks to whomever shared this at the noogfest. It poured clear brown with an apple cider aroma and sweet flavor. yomintyfresh (53) - USA - JUN 13, 2007
Looked almost like a cola in the glass. Malty, overly sweet, with a medicinal aftertaste. Suttree (6505) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 10, 2007
Clear brown, no head. Rather thin bodied, in a good way. Nicely malty and spicey. Clean, crisp finish. Uncomplictated and tasty. RichJ7 (1175) - Cullman, Alabama, USA - JUN 5, 2007
Reddish brown in color with a creamy white head. Nice hoppy aroma, very earthy. Flavor is somewhere between a sweet brown ale and an IPA, a very well-balanced beer. Smooth on the palate with a subtle, mildly bittersweet finish. Very enjoyable. peridot (17) - Alabama, USA - JUN 2, 2007
Hoppy aroma. It’s a gorgeous brown with a thick, offwhite head. Roasty flavour with strong hop flavour but very little bitterness. Not overly carbonated, but almost creamy on the palate. Good beer but the lack of bitterness with such strong hop flavour is offputting.

Event: DarkLord Day 2007
Location: Three Floyds Brewing Co. Parking Lot
Serving: Sampled from a growler shared by kp. Thank you!
Aroma: Obviously dry-hopped since it smells mostly like hop pellets and grass.
Appearance: Transparent amber/bronze color with a lasting foamy beige head that leaves foamy lacing effects on the inside of the glass. Mild level of visible carbonation.
Flavor: Light caramel, toffee, and honey malts. Orange and pine hop flavors. Subtle nutty quality. Mild bitterness.
Palate: Mild, mellow, and smooth.
Overall: This is somewhat of interesting brew. It would probably be just fine without the dry-hopping. Terrapin might want to work on this one a little bit before they decide to release it to the masses in bottles!
Pours a dark reddish maroon, with a very small white head. Smells somewhat sweet with a big malty background. The taste is very sweet, kind of bitter, with some molasses and raisins. Big dark fruit as well. The finish however was kind of bitter. Just a wierd beer. The mouthfeel was kind of medium and the aftertaste was lightly fruity. Decent. scoobyluv (511) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - MAY 11, 2007
amber color. thick tan head. it surprised me with the hop flavor which i so enjoy. Shag (3045) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - MAY 6, 2007
On tap at KP’s. A brown color with a generous head. Some alcohol can be picked up in the nose along with caramel and nutmeg. Some yeast is presence in the flavor and also some nutmeg, caramel, and toffee. The finish is rather sweet. This must be an imperial brown. Good one! On draught at the speakeasy. Pour was hazlenut with a small off white head. Nose was very piney and hoppy. Flavor is way off, Finish is terrible. I am having trouble drinking this. Not going to finish the pint. Tasted like dirt mixed with metal and plastic and little rusty particles on top. Otherwise, it was top notch.
