The Terrapin Hop Karma Brown IPA is a head on collision between a hoppy west coast India Pale Ale and a malty, complex brown ale. Brewed with 5 varieties of hops and 7 different malts, this hybrid style represents the best of both worlds. PEACE, LOVE and HOPPINESS
Tap at KP’s cellar bar. Poured a clear copper-brown color with a medium beige head. Moderately strong hop forward aroma of mostly citrus with a good chocolately malt and citrus base. Powdery chocolate like cocoa powder. Mlaty start wih a citrus hop middle and chocolate finish. Moderately bitter long dry finish. Medium bodied. Hint of smoke as the beer warms.
Cask @ Aroma’s in Athens. One of the best beer aromas ever (pardon the pun). Excellent nose. Smeels like a double IPA. Tastes like a combination of a West Coast IPA and an English Brown. A very good beer. Best offering from Terrapin IMHO.
