Nice wax sealed bottle, good label. Foggy apricot bronze. Fruity malty aroma. Cooked berry up front, acidic, a little astringent, some interesting bittering plays. Medium body, stewed berry finish. Tasty. Thanks to Jme.

Bottle sample during a tasting from notes. Pours a hazy orange caramel color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, caramel, Graham crackers, grainy malts, blackberry fruity character, it seemed a bit thin to me.

koleminer20 (4267) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JUN 26, 2016
22 oz bottle shared by Gus with ebone1988 and I. The pour is a messy darker purply ruby color with a thicker cream colored head and a good bit of lace. The aroma is a mess. This smells like it’s still fermenting. It’s got a strong sweet potato thing happening. There is a spicy malt and a messy fruit thing. This just isn’t ready for consuming. The flavor is messy sweet potato and light blackberry. It’s like it’s fermenting in the tank. The mouth feel is thin and watery with a light carbonation and a fouling aftertaste. It’s just not good. Down the drain she goes.

ebone1988 (2301) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - JUN 26, 2016
Bottle shared with koleminer20 and Gus. Aroma is unpleasant. Banana, clove, blackberries, barnyard. Appearance is reddish purple, off white head, hazy. Taste is bad. Medicinal blackberry, clove, malt, banana, really awful. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, medicinal blackberry and clove aftertaste. Overall, bad.

poisoneddwarf (2714) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - APR 17, 2016
Purple wax-dipped bomber, courtesy of jbruner’s FBW contest. 2015 bottle. Aroma is berries, SweeTarts, Graham Crackers if I really look, earthy. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head that fades somewhat quick. Taste is sweet, lightly tart, boozy, light Belgian yeast influence, finishes lightly bitter. Pretty thin. It’s ok, but the deScription sounds scrumptious and the payoff was a letdown. I wonder what Southern Tier could do with this.

oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 6, 2016
Pours a golden yellow with big fizzy head. Aromas of light berries, yeast, & some spicy notes. Smooth yeasty taste with a touch of berries.

Bomber->goblet. Cloudt copper with mini lite tan head. A: mild blackberries, grains, ginger, spices. T: sweet blackberry, maybe some graham cracker, spice, syrup. Aftertaste wanders from bitter to tart to cloying. Not a fan.

Beerdedone (3508) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 31, 2015
Bottle. Pours ruby purple with a small white head. Aroma of blackberry, yeast, and grains. Flavor was slightly sweet with blackberries, yeast, toasted grain, bread and was lightly acidic.

3.3
BiiruBierBeer (1059) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - DEC 5, 2015
Smell is light berry and malt. Taste is pretty much the same with some pie crust and light mineral. It’s okay. Light body, medium carbonation, and mild foam

3.2
BelgianBeerGal (4290) - Panama City, Florida, USA - OCT 26, 2015
Draft sample at Fishale. Pours a cloudy gold color with a nice white head. Aroma is sweet and malty. The flavor is probably over sweet but not necessarily berry-centric. Okay but maybe a little one dimensional.
