Pours a black liquid. Nice small mocha head. Aroma is, chocolate, roasted malts, sweetness, almost a bit sour?. Taste issweet milk chocolate, roasted coffee with milk in it. Chocolate milk. Smooth and drinkable. Nice one!

Bottle from Justin. Aroma and flavor of Nesquik and milk stout with a nice amount of carbonation. I could drink this stuff all day, but I only got the one bottle. Much more tame than Wake-n-Bake, but very good beer in its own right. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle served in a CBS snifter. 2011 seasonal. Big thanks to Holland(Eric) for the extra! A: Pours a solid black with a very thin tan colored head forming on the pour. It dissipates quickly leaving a very thin collar. S: The smell is mostly consistent of milk chocolate, some brown sugar, and a light toasted malt. Fairly straight forward for the style. T: The taste is mainly a grainy dark malt and milk chocolate up front, very sugary. There is a milk dud like quality to it, but overall it is very sweet. M: The mouthfeel is thin to medium and just has a sugary sweetness that stays with the palate for a little while. O: Milk stouts of all kinds just aren’t for me. They are too thin and sweet for the stout style IMO and I just really do not like the characteristics they bring to the table. The beer wasn’t bad, but it’s just not my cup of tea. Pours translucent black. Aroma is chocolate and not much else. Taste is something else, though. The chocolate/roast is just about perfect for the style - really full flavor without being overpoweringly sweet, and the finish has a decent bite of alcohol. Great beer.

Dogbrick (12936) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 4, 2012
Opaque black pour with a medium beige head that diminishes slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of milk chocolate and malt. Medium, creamy body with flavors of cocoa, chocolate malt and mild coffee. The finish is chocolatey with a lingering sweetness left behind. Pretty enjoyable overall.

Poured from the bottle (thanks Donny). Dark brown in color, small amount of tan head. Very sweet chocolately aroma. Smooth, almost creamy taste with strong chocolate notes. Chocolate lingers in the aftertaste. Probably one of the best milk stouts I’ve tried, very tasty!!

!2oz bottle share...Thanks, Donny. The aroma is is very chocolatey and sweet. Dark malt is very prevalent. The appearance is black almost no head. The taste starts out dry and dark and rolls into a fabulous sweet chocolate, then it finishes dry and dark again. On the palate it is a little heavy, and you get a little tingle from the dryness. Overall, this is a fantastic beer. I look forward to having this again some time.

A: Pours a pitch black color with a small eggshell/brownish color head. Retention is OK, not great S: Whoa, really close to chocolate milk...tons of lactose up front, cocoa, lots of caramel, toffee, chocolate, and a lingering sweetness that you can almost taste T: Lactose, residual sugar, caramel, fudge, chocolate...basically chocolate milk but with a unique cocoa powder. Not terribly balanced, but I’m diggin this. MF/D: Sweet, velvety, smooth, and creamy feel to it. Carbonation is low, finish is rich milk chocolate and lactose. Notes: Dessert beer for sure, sipper for sure. Very sweet and chocolatey, but great to drink once in a while

2011 bottle. Dark brown pour leaving a mocha colored head. Chocolate, sweet candy, and roasty goodness are just wafting from my glass. Easy drinking but slightly astringent in the finish. Wonderful after dinner drink
