bottle from Dsho (BA) in trade, split with my wife. Served into my Sam Adams 6 oz tasting glass.
Depp amber with ruby on the edges. Small tan head with ok retention. Not much of a nose with this one. Taste is cocoa power and bitter chocolate upfront with undertones of roast. Well balanced but no hop aroma or flavor. Medium body with a creamy mouth. Cool.
Bottle 33 cl. Black with a little light brown head. Lots of chocolate aroma and some vanilla sense. Sweet taste, light bitterness with a nice chocolate end. SvanteL (630) - SWEDEN - JUL 18, 2017
Aroma Cocoa, milk chocolate, earthy, mildly herbal
Taste Very sweet, no bitterness
Palate Medium-full body, mild carbonation
Flaske. Sortbrun øl med fint skumhoved. Duften er sødlig kaffe chokolade. Smagen er en kende metallisk hvilket trækker ned. Ellers fin øl.

2 finger off-white head.
Almost pitch black beer.
Aroma is liqourice, dark rye bread, caramel, coffee and cocoa powder. Hint of dark fruits and that metallic note that I usually find in Sweet Stouts.
Taste is dark bitter chocolate, espresso, smoke, raisins and vanilla.
Smooth and pretty creamy. Medium carbonation. Low bitterness. Semi dry mouthfeel.
Overall: Remember the first time I tried this at the beginning of my beer journey some years back. I thought this was absolutely crazy and couldn’t tell if I hated it or loved it. Now it’s very friendly stuff, and like all sweet stouts, doesn’t overwhelm you in any way. Out of the ones I’ve tasted so far, this one still comes out as the best though. Atleast it actually tastes something and it’s a good beer in this style.

Rating #2484 - 2016.05.03 - Can at Bru. Dark brown pour with a creamy tan head. Super chocolatey, vanilla, molasses. Taste is very rich in milky chocolate, mild toffee/vanilla with a sweeter than expected finish. Nice depth with an earthy coffee roasty bitterness. Excellent.
