Bomber. Pours black with a dissipating brown head and aroma of sweet chocolate and roasted coffee. Taste is sweet up front, lots of milk chocolate and roasted coffee throughout leading to a warming finish. Delicious stout

Shared bottle at HR. Hazy black pour with tan head. Nose was dark malt, cacao, coffee, chocolate milk. Tasted like an iced mochacino with more sweetness. Delicious.

Bottle into a wineglass showing pitch black with sparse latte colored foam.

The nose shows strong notes of lactose, black coffee, and light milk chocolate.

The palate is medium bodied and well carbonated. Light coffee tartness with strong flavours of milk chocolate. More lactose sweetness on the finish. Slightly cloying.

22 oz bottle shared with Gus. 2014 vintage. Boy, this one has been around a while. The pour is a lighter black with a light brown ring of head and a couple spots of lace. The aroma is not that great. There is a green pepper on the coffee that is by crazy about. The chocolate and milkiness are great and nicely balanced with a hint of roast and a light alcohol. The flavor is good. I like the balance of chocolate, coffee, and a nice sweet lactose. The roastiness is good on the back end. It’s got a good balance and just works. The mouth feel is a medium body with a soft carbonation and a lingering chocolate and milky sweetness with a touch of coffee. I dig this one. 7 4 8 4 15

500ml bottle. 2016 vintage. Appearance: Jet black, opaque, with a minimal khaki head.
Aroma: Rich roasted coffee and mocha. Molasses and a slight hint of dark fruit
Taste: Starts with a really rich malt sweetness and strong coffee roast that fades into dark chocolate and touch of toffee, only for the strong dark roast to kick back in on the swallow
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a touch of viscosity, and low carbonation.
Finish: Roasted malt and coffee most prominent, with a bit of dark chocolate. Very malty, no real nuttiness apparent
Overall: Really nice take on an imperial milk stout, with a dominant coffee roast and dark chocolate that isn’t bitter or acrid. Balances well against the sweetness of the malt and lactose

Ar: Espresso, with a chocolate and slight green pepper note; dry, toasty malt; some char. Ap: Black, opaque; medium tan head with moderate-low retention, leaves bits of trail on the glass sides here and there, and a creamy cap of bubble splotch. T: Milk chocolate and toffee; smooth, bittersweet coffee and cocoa just permeate; cream and vanilla notes; ashy coffee on the finish, with a bit of tiramisu; medium bitterness, a bit herbal in flavor; lingering espresso and cocoa powder on the finish. P: Medium-full body with medium-high carbonation; finish is medium-dry. O: Delicious! Big notes of coffee, cocoa, and toffee, backed up by a moderate sweetness, but nothing tasting artificial or cloying; the coffee and chocolate really stand out, but the maltiness and roast of the underlying beer never get lost.
