A delicious blend of coffee and imperial awesomeness... I perfect end to a long day at work. It is the molten chocolate cake of beers, the tastes cary from note to note until your pallet is exhausted

Oh wow this beer is great. Aroma is a wonderful blend of coffee and an oatmeal backbone. This coffee aroma is a great roast. Taste is coffee and chocolate. Very smooth but so much flavor is packed in here. The head on this beer was a dark brown, very pretty. At almost completely opaque black this beer is very good.

Loving another great beer from Terrapin, especially since this is an imperial stout! Very rich and smooth as you get the initial tastes of coffee with the after taste of chocolate. Just a great brew.

Pours a deep warm opaque sable with a good fine-bubbled tan head. Aroma is rich, woody, smoky and malty with hints of chocolate and coffee. Rich flavor is mainly of quality roast coffee with a firm hint of chocolate. Texture is fairly thick, smooth, edgy and fizzy, leaving a cola-like fizz and a smoky, slightly sweet finish. Strongly recommended.

Cask @ Atl Cask Ale Tasting 2006. Black w/ great vanilla, oak, coffee, and chocolate notes. This is a really good beer. Every bit as good as Oak Aged Yeti. Best beer @ the festival by far.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2007 Amazing beer. The vanilla chips really made a difference. I had it out of the bottle (edit: regular W & B) the weekend prior to the festival, and just had another bottle tonight, and there is a big difference. I feel badly for the folks that didn’t get to try this one.

This was luscious. Deep, rich coffee undertones. Beautiful in the glass. I’m not extremely knowledgeable about beer, but I enjoyed this and would drink it again.

6 pack. Pours black with a fairly dark brown head that lasts. Smells almost like a heavy french roast coffee blend fresh out of the grinder. Tastes like breakfast. You get the bitter coffee taste with that thick oatmeal feel. Nice and bitter on the back end but very smooth. Good job!

draft/cask at Brewvival as Dugout. finally got to try this one after missing it 3 times in last couple months. pours a deep black with a thick, rich tan head and sticky lacing. aroma is simply wonderful with tons of fresh roasted coffee, oatmeal, chocolate fudge, sweet vanilla, oak, and a unique fruity cereal bar note. flavor, according to my notes, is a wow moment with rich chocolate cake, fresh roast coffee, vanilla custard, whiskey, and perfectly integrated bourbon notes adding a bit of spice. palate is rich and velvety smooth with mild carbonation and a long, sweet, roasted coffee finish. overall, awesome.

Dark black, dark tan head. Aroma is like a chocolate malt or milk shake, thick vanilla sweetness, almost bourbony with the touch of wood, big big coffee finish with milk chocolate mixed in. Huge coffee, vanilla, chocolate tastes with a light woodiness that comes through. Great stuff.
