Red gold pour. Aroma gumballs, spicy rye, slight wood. Tastes tangy sweet, spicy rye. like a rye barleywine. some herbal hops in the background. thick, but has a drying boozy palate. pretty good actually. ordybill (1731) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - JUN 22, 2016
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The flavor was over the top and was hard to finish the beer. Would not drink again. Along with Maggie’s Peach beer are the two least favorite Terrapin beers I have had. brigg (672) - Washington DC, USA - APR 1, 2016
(Bottle, 2014 Vintage) Cloudy copper body with small off-white head. Aroma is sweet with lots of fruit and floral notes; lightly spicy; toast. Full bodied. Noticeable alcohol, warming. Moderately sweet taste; peppery caramel, rye, grapefruit, rock candy; moderate bitterness lingers. deaconmike (470) - Roswell, Georgia, USA - JAN 23, 2016
Poured from a bottle. Hazy dark Amber with offwhite head that lasts a while. Very malt forward beer - caramel and rye. Very sweet and a bit boozy. Full body, sticky mouthfeel. An alright beer, but too malty for me, not very hoppy.

Pours a clear orange golden color with white head. Citrus, spice, and some malty notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied, thick, and sticky. Finishes with spice. Arayaga2 (2188) - portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 7, 2015
Hazy apricot color with thin white head. Aroma is light creamsicle. Taste is a powerful boozy citrusy bitter cocktail. $3/12oz fr5ed (62) - Florida, USA - DEC 6, 2015
I’m not sure why this hasn’t rated higher. It was fabulous last year and I still love it this year. Aromas of pineapple and citrus from the hops. Nice full mouthfeel, plenty of hop bitterness, but very balanced with a malt sweetness. Behind that is the spicy, dry rye contribution. thetmaxx (917) - West Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 29, 2015
Poured from the bottle from tavour. Pours cloudy. Aroma is slightly alcoholic. The first one, I didn’t pay attention to the alcohol level, it bit me! Flavor is great with plenty of rye malt! Great bitterness too! This is a good beer! Kyle77 (44) - North Carolina, USA - NOV 14, 2015
