Cybercat (6213) - Georgia, USA - DEC 21, 2010
Aroma is rich and smoky with undertones of quality coffee, unsweet chocolate and molasses, like a fine mocha with just a bit of an alcohol nip. It pours an opaque sable with a thick, fine-bubbled light tan head that leaves some good lacing. Flavor has firm tones of semi-sweet chocolate, fine coffee, molasses and toffee, as well as a good alcohol nip that gets your attention but it not overpowering or too fierce. Texture is smooth and quite fizzy, leaving behind a fairly persistent tingle, a not-quite-subtle alcohol bite, and a dollop of sweetness. Heartily recommended!

Bomber from LiquorLoft, dark and forbidding, chocolate, ash and sweet, bitter with some metallic bite. Solid offering from terrapin, only get better with time.

TomDecapolis (4636) - Milton, Delaware, USA - DEC 29, 2010
Tap at Capones. Pours a deep black with a medium creamy tan head that left some lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, caramel, nuts, toffee and molasses. Flavor of toasted malt, caramel, chocolate, nuts and toffee. Some moderate hop bitterness and flavor. Well done RIS. ABV very well hidden. Not overly sticky or cloying.

zizzybalubba (1887) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JAN 2, 2011
22 oz. bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Pours dark brown to nearly black with a creamy khaki head. Aroma of rich coffee, dark chocolate, smoky malts, and hints of dark fruit. The flavor is everything you would expect from the aroma; coffee, chocolate, and smoke primarily with hints of dark fruits. Really everything you could hope for in an imperial stout even if there is no big "wow" factor. Hopefully Terrapin will get some of this in bourbon barrels because this would be a phenomenal barrel aged impy stout.
