Appearance: Pours a vibrant orange amber with a think white film for head.Hangover (1133) - oxford, Georgia, USA - JUN 15, 2010
Aroma: Spicy hops, bready yeast, very fruity.
Taste: Alcohol in the initial sip, burnt toast, tangerine, boatload of bitter hops, and honey. Finishes hot, spicy and bitter.
Mouthfeel: Very carbonated and hot.
Overall: Boom Shakalager is right. I think this beer could have cooled down for a month or two.
Copper colored pour with a small tan head which quickly recedes to nothing. Aroma is faint with light malty sweetness and caramel. Mouthfeel is a bit thick, nearly full-bodied considering it’s a lager. Warming alcohol is evident up front. Sweet, resinous hoppiness which is secondary to the strong, sweet, malt presence - pear, apricot, slightly fruity. Alchol burns into the finish. Malty, boozy, nice body, puts the Strong in European Strong Lager. Pretty good but I think it’s too hot... I don’t know if you can cellar a lager. randy1301 (265) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 11, 2010

22oz bottle. clear rusty amber under a very small filmy head. aroma has notes of white and red wines and tart fruitiness. the flavor surprised me with toasted malt. notes of white grape juice. the toasted malt saves this for me from being a total bust. palate is medium and lightly sticky. a blast of warmth/burn from the abv. a challenging style of beer to impress. On tap at Fuck Store, I mean Brick Store Pub, and I also had the distinct pleasure of enjoying this in bottle form as well. Nice dark coppery appearance with a slightly fluffy head. It looks the same on tap. I hope they start to make more fucking lagers. A nice and fresh hop and malt aroma. There is a slight malt dominance, but it is still smelling great. Nice and crisp Pils hop aroma. Fuck I just had the Heller Bock from Sierra Nevada and this smells exactly the same. Seems a little more pungent, but oh well. Light honey aroma coming from the malts. Malt sweetness dominates. Very smooth and crisp on the tongue. For fuck’s sake I am drunk. Lingering hop bitterness provides a nice flavor. Slight toasted malt flavor. Overall, a nice thick lager. Hey, Terrapin didn’t fuck up on one of their Side Projects, imagine that!

On cask at Rustico. Pours a translucent, orangey amber with a frothy, creamy white head. Aroma is pears, apples, malts, a touch yeasty. Flavor is very sweet, bread dough, yeasty, pear. Full bodied and a little creamy. I expected to dislike this and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
