UPDATED: OCT 24, 2010 Sampled at the Great American Beer Festival on September 17, 2010, also sampled via a bottle at our October 2010 club meeting. A definite dark brown, practically black beer with a light brown head. Looks a little thin for such a dark beer. Aroma of light roasted malt and light hops. In the mouth, it’s very smooth. Flavor is a little weak and smooth, but with a bitter finish. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - OCT 5, 2010

(22oz bottle) Black body and a medium, creamy chocolate head. Smooth roasted malt aroma, lightly smoky, dark chocolate, espresso. The hops that weren’t present in the aroma come through in the taste: at first in the front along with light acidity, fading on the way back with a roasted chocolate finish, and the hops coming back in the after taste. Floral and citrus notes. Medium- to full-bodied with lots of lace left on the glass.
