3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Roast malt and chocolate in the nose. Black with a beige froth. Roast and dark chocolate bitterness blended with a good hop profile and just enough sweetness to balance. Medium bodied with a dry roasty finish.
Slutfest 6: Walnut nose. Cola brown, thin tan head. Toast and walnut, no cocoa detected. Medium body, soft carbonation. Mellow, but bland. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 10, 2016

Bottled from backlog notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma and flavor have some roasted malt, bigger chocolate, some dark fruit, cocoa powder, a touch thin but I guess this is a porter, so maybe not that bad, I always find the Side Project stuff interesting. glennmastrange (2900) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - DEC 27, 2014
Bottle. Moderate to heavy dark bread for the malt, moderate herbs for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with a dose of cocoa powder in the background. Head is average size, frothy, light brown with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color si dark brown. Flavor starts lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is light to mdeium, watery with a lively carbonation. Lots of dark chocolate in this tasty Porter. LuckyDog (615) - - DEC 4, 2014
Nice chocolate flavor. A little thin. Let it warm up a little for the best taste.

Bottle at Jester King Zwanze Day. Dark brown pour with a brown head. The aroma is very nutty with some chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of hazelnut and chocolate notes, as well as some roasted malt and cream. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. slowrunner77 (12594) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 6, 2014
"Tootsie Rolls and lightly bitter dark chocolate in the nose and flavor. Smooth palate but a little thin. The porter part is just ok, the chocolate great. If this were an imperial stout or more robust porter, this would be epic."

Pour was dark brown to black with a huge and highly carbonated chocolate colored head. Aroma of cocoa and milk. Flavor followed with some ash and Hershey syrup type notes. Mouthfeel was a ittle light with high carbonation. Thanks to goodgrief for the shot at this one. Goodgrief (2058) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - JUL 5, 2014
Dark fizzy pour. Dark color. It’s fizzy and over carbonated. It’s really over carbonated. I could describe other things, but nothing else really matters. SudsMcDuff (8469) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - JUL 3, 2014
