The legendary hop-hunter Krunkles turns up yet again, back from a tour of the Orient. His goal this time is to get experimental; his unbounded travels have earned him an honorary doctorate (“Doctor of what?”, you may ask. This would be a question to which only Krunkles knows the answer…) and he’s sequestered himself in the lab perfecting a never-before-seen formula for his beloved IPA. Dr. Krunkles White Farmhouse IPA reaches new heights in complexity and flavor by combining the malt and spices of a Belgian Witbier, the yeast of a Farmhouse Ale, and the hoppy goodness of an American IPA. Dr. Krunkle’s twisted touch is a dash of white peppercorn followed by wood aging on white ash.

22oz bomber from Spirits Crossroads. Poured a clear dirty gold body with a large bubbly light white head. Aroma is solid, very tropical with lots of Belgian yeast. Notes of lime, yesst, dusty breads, tropical fruits, kiwi rind, lemons and a hint of vanilla. Medium bodied with average to slightly light carbonation and an average duration on the finish. Flavor is yeast, tropical fruits, limes, crusts, touch of medicine. Good stuff here.

Draft. Pours clear golden with decent splay white head. Smell is light esters, fruity, bit of banana/clove. Taste is light citrus with nice esters. Good mix of pale ale and nice yeast combo. Works well.

Luvystypotables (2039) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - OCT 29, 2013
Caramel colour, nice head. Complex nose of yeast, floral, fruity, citrus with a hint of spice. Complex taste of apricot, and lemons with an astringent finish.

Poured from a bottle. Clear golden color, large white frothy head. Slight yeast and malt smell. Nice smooth apricot flavor with a great finish.

mkgrenwel (621) - North Shore, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 21, 2013
Light golden orange color. Thin white head. Aroma faintly says apricot and. Orange. Flavor is juicy fruit including peach, orange, apricot, lemon. The yeast flavor is quite strange. This doesn’t make any sense, but it tastes like an absence of flavor. It has this cloudy hollowness to it, like fog obscuring your taste buds. Very weird. I love the hop flavors, although there could be more. Just a beer I don’t know what to make of. Pleasant but not fantastic.

DocLock (10970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Bomber from Capone’s. Pours hazy dark straw coppery with fizzy off-white head. Nose is yeasty funk, hopcitrus, Tastes saisony, with an upfront funky yeasty, white peppery flavor, mid-palate hopcitrus, and a dry, spicy, yeasty finish. This one is solid, and an excellent saison/IPA hybrid.

OldGrowth (3474) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - OCT 19, 2013
bottle, from Bottle Revolution. good aroma, sweet. some citrus, yeast, wood. orange citrus, little funky doughy yeast with spice, dry woody scent. pale golden orange color, good head and lace, lively carbonation. Sweet flavor. lighter body. creamy thin mouthfeel, sweet finish. good, maybe a better "white" ipa that i’ve had. good in both aroma and flavor. I like flavor liitle more than aroma.

Fritz123 (1535) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - OCT 18, 2013
Pint glass draft at Tryst Delray Beach. Cloudy light colored gold with one finger white head. Farmhouse aroma of fruits, hay, slight sour funk, and vanilla. Taste is similar with funk, fruit, slight Brett, and cereal. Spices on the finish. Little peppery heat also on the back end. Medium carb. Liked it!

XmnwildX12 (2079) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - OCT 15, 2013
