Cloudy yellow, creamy white lacing. Very green nose-herbal, floral and grassy. Green-ness continues on the palate, where there is a great herbal flavor and bitterness, but a little bit of creaminess on the back palate. The palate is phenomenal-leaves you satisfied and not bitter ;) GTAEgeek (2217) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 31, 2012
12 oz. bottle. Thanks Carlson! Pours dark orange, with a small, tan head. The aroma is butterscotch, oranges, and apricots. The flavor is smooth, citrus sweetness and balanced hop bitterness. The palate is medium to heavy, creamy and smooth. Overall, this is a very delicious IIPA. The aroma and flavor are great, and the mouthfeel is excellent. durhambeer (2500) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 30, 2012
12oz bottle. Pours clear golden-orange with creamy white head. Nose is sweet--mango, papaya, and bread. Super sweet, but I sort of like it. Bit of white pepper spiciness on the taste. Solid. PhilDBrewer (50) - Bloomington, Indiana, USA - MAR 30, 2012
Pours yellow with a slight orange hue.Minimal head, little lacing. Aroma is earthy, slight pine and citrus but falls short for a DIPA. Taste is heavily pine and grassy hops with caramel and biscuity backbone. Full bodied, slightly syrupy. Overall, ok DIPA but there are much better out there. zizzybalubba (1868) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - MAR 30, 2012
12 oz. bottle from SoHo Organic Market in Elizabeth City, NC (2012 bottle, 10.3% ABV). Pours dark orange with a fluffy bright white head. Bold pineapple, grapefruit, and pine needles on the nose. The taste is bitter grapefruit with some pineapple, pine, and wet grass. The heat from the alcohol is detected somewhat. Really nicely done.

On tap at Pinnocchio’s. Opaque orange pour, little head, some lacing. This is a citrus beast. Thick like a tangerine, orange and grapefruit milkshake. There’s so much sweet fruity goodness that it doesn’t quite seem as bitter as 110 IBUs would suggest, but it’s not short on hops by any means. A citra assault on your senses. Good stuff. scooter520 (185) - - MAR 29, 2012
Bottle 2012. Appearance: slightly hazy golden color, white frothy head dissipating very quickly and some alcohol legs. Aroma: very bready slightly caramel malt forward with clear citrus and maybe hints of pine and alcohol; picking up a strange marker (like a Sharpie) kind of smell that I can’t put my finger on (maybe the alcohol mixing with the citrus and breadiness coming together strangely). Taste: very floral and citrus at the front and throughout leading into that strong malt backbone that gets sweeter from the alcohol all the way through the end and aftertaste; mild hop bitterness towards the end and lingering but not enough to really balance that sweetness. Mouthfeel: thin to medium body, medium carbonation. Overall: it’s a decent showing but just a little too sweet for me. Wishing the hops made a stronger presence to balance that strong malt coming through. I wouldn’t turn it away but most likely won’t seek it out again. ross (2146) - weddington, North Carolina, USA - MAR 29, 2012
2012 Bottle. Light yellow color with a white head. Smell is pretty hoppy, full of citrus and grapefruit. Taste similar, pretty high alcohol presence known here. Grassy, citrus flavor. Pretty good, but not worth the sticker. keanex (1799) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - MAR 28, 2012

A: Murky amber body with a very thin white head, poor retention.
S: Heavy semi-sweet citrus of tangerines, grapefruit, and oranges. Too much citrus for me.
T: Sweet thick and malty up-front into sweet citrus which progresses to bitter until the finish. Too heavy on citrus for me and too thick for my liking.
M: Thick with soft carbonation.
O: This is too expensive to bother with this unbalanced, borderline, mess. It was hard to get through a 12 ounce bottle.
Pours a medium gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of strong orange peels, light mint, pine, and dank hops. Sticky and somewhat thick mouthfeel with bitter citrus and pine. Some alcohol notes come through but it’s a pretty solid beer.
