brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - NOV 21, 2010
A: The pour is a lightly hazed golden orange color with a finger or so worth of white foam. S: A fair amount of grapefruit rind as well as some oily, piney, resin. Hints of tropical fruits provide some sweetness and there is a touch of alcohol on the back end. T: Sweet tropical fruits up front, namely pineapple and mango. Unfortunately, lots of sugary sweetness and alcohol. The heat from the alcohol is so intense it’s almost like ash with a hit of vodka. Some lingering piney bitterness. M: The body is medium with a moderate level of carbonation. D: I thought this one would be alright from the nose, but the flavor was just awful. Way too hot and alcoholic.

bhensonb (15235) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 24, 2010
Bomber from Oak Tree. Pours very hazy dark gold with a foamy off-white head. Lots of floral and citrus in the aroma. Full bodied; very nice carb. Flavor is lots of floral hop, with lots of fruity hop, some of which turns out like grapefruit rind. Nice malt background, but it’s background. Very nice; mellow; hoppy as heck, but not in a super harsh way.
