651mL thanks to beerandblues2. The pour is a hazy, light orange with a small, yellow head leaving spotty lace. The nose is spicy, earthy, odd with apples, dirty pear, heavy esters. Taste is spicy, more neutral with a decent wheat body and wheat beer spice (cinnamon, cloves). Palate is fuller, spicy, mildly bitter. Really odd but not bad. Bottle shared by BeerandBlues2: Pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a creamy froth of full-lacing white head. Has a dry funky herbal nose with a touch of light fruity esters. Starts with average fullness and light malty sweetness with a good amount of bretty funk and grassy bitterness before a drier lingering floral lemony and hop finish. An interesting and unique brew. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 15, 2011
22oz bottle, thanks BeerandBlues2. Small off-white head, clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit/lime, some lemon. Taste is moderately sweet, lime/grapefruit. Soft medium body. Travlr (25269) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAY 15, 2011
Bottle at CaptainCougar’s tasting, from anonymous - thanks! Cloudy orange. Aroma of sweat and flowers. Taste is bitter and smooth, licorice finish. Interesting. BeerandBlues2 (13595) - Escondido, California, USA - MAY 15, 2011
Bottle. Pours clear orange with an average, frothy white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, cereal, cookie), heavy hops (citrus, floral, pine), and average esters (banana, apple) with notes of wheat and apricot. Flavor is average malt (bread, cereal, cookie), heavy hops (citrus, floral, pine), and average esters (banana, apple) with notes of wheat and apricot. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation with a dry and biting finish.

On tap at the Rocket City Brewfest. Pours pale yellow. The aroma is pine hops, wheat, and lemon peels. The flavor is bitter up front, with some malt balance. The palate is sticky and astringent, with a long bitter aftertaste. Overall, a great idea, but the hops drown out almost anything else. Still, not bad. Well, it’s certainly cloudy like a hefe, with a creamy white head. Aroma is citrus and wheat. Taste is pretty unique and flavorful. Up front it’s pretty hoppy with citrus/grapefruit flavors. Middle is almost a bit soapy as it transitions to a funky, wheaty, banana, orange flavor. I’ve tried this concept before in my homebrews and I only wish they came out this good. Definitely an extra point for being different. zizzybalubba (1874) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - MAY 14, 2011
22 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Chesapeake, VA. Hazy orange pour with a thin and bubbly off-white head. Aroma of banana, clove, and light floral hops. The flavor is more on the wheat ale side rather than the IPA part with sweet ripe banana, bubblegum, clove, nutmeg, and coriander at the front but there is a noticable hop bitterness that is both interesting and welcome. While the alcohol is not overpowering this does come across as a higher ABV beer than your standard wheat ale/witbier/hefeweizen. This is a really solid brew. Bomber shared with kristen. Pours a semihazy orange amber with ring of near white head. Nose sweet and semi-spicy citrus wheat. White pepper flavor and buttery hop profile. Easy drinking. Rather enjoyed this one. ruskiimperial (308) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 12, 2011
Poured a very cloudy dark orange with a half finger’s worth of head. Aroma has some wheat, a bit of sourness and even some piney hops. All over the place. The taste is quite an amalgamation of sweet wheat, noticeably bittering hops, and a rather buttery aftertaste. A strange brew that is kind of going in 12 different directions but still doing it rather well.
