Really enjoyed this beer. Pours an deep, burnt orange color...slight haze, and nice lingering white head. Nose of Bavarian malts, fruit pith from the hops and a touch of honey as well. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and full flavored. Notes of tropical fruits, hefe notes, and bitter hops. Don’t get much of the hefe yeast, but I’m good with the hop character anyway. Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA on 4/30/11. Pours a hazy amber color with a thin offwhite head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of bread, caramel and leafy hops. The taste is wheat, banana and bitter minty hops. Medium bodied. jzzbassman (1631) - Arlington, Texas, USA - AUG 6, 2011
22oz Bottle. Take what I’m about to say knowing that Hefes are probably my least favorite style. This I loved. Pours a hazy orange with a 2 finger white cap. Lotta citrus grapefruit in this, along with some tropical hint of banana and pineapple. Flavor is citric hop forward, full and spicy. Quite lovely. Bomber pours opaque orange with gold hues and off white head. The aroma is floral hops, flowery perfume and lesser amounts of spicy hops, wheat, an herbal note and some banana. The taste has crisp fresh spicy hops that are really inviting flowing into some wheat notes, banana and floral hops. It stays pretty spicy with crisp hops from front to back. I think the freshness of this brew is what makes it so enjoyable. Not sure I’d feel the same way if it had some age on it. PhillyBeer2112 (2850) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - JUL 28, 2011
Overdone citrus hopping, like chewing on a grapefruit rind. Strongly bitter with dry crackery malts. very astringent. Hazy gold.

From a bottle poured a slightly hazy amber color with a fair amount of head. Light malty flavor with a quick finish. SudsMcDuff (8429) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - JUL 26, 2011
I quite enjoyed this, really pulled nicely from wheat ale and ipa.. . Poured a slightly hazy tan, really good foam .. . balanced and refreshing, some wheat- some bitterness, all class .. . this guy couldn’t outdraw a crayon... chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 25, 2011
bottle... medium golden brown, watery off white head... nose of wheat and yeast, boring... must better than an expected being a Terrapin and wheat ipa, a hot summer day refreshing beer, but hides the alcohol well, at first there is tons of wheat, grainy not sweet, then the ipa qualities come full force, pine a touch of alcohol, malt backbone... pretty nice, nothing I’d track down but nice extra ganache (5897) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 24, 2011
Bomber. Huge hoppy nose, big time citrus over caramel and light pine, chewy Lagunitas caramel and light spicy dough. Airy yeast with light mineral and medium phenolics, strong Belgian dried fruit component with the bubblegum. Bright and punchy. Orange pour with highlights of Ruby Red Grapefruit and a creamy white head. Taste is dry and hoppy, sourish malt with a bready aftertaste after the wood, resin, and tropical fruit have passed. Wheat mash and lightly rubber yeast. Full body pushing fat with light crispness. Bitterness from the middle through the end. Big mishmash of flavors, but as colorful as a rainbow and worth the expedition. Sammy (12197) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 23, 2011
Nice balance between a hefe and an IPA. Orange and unfiltered. A good blend, hops and wheat. Carbonation is right there and its a good mouthfeel. Some orange taste. IBU 75.
