3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small, bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus hops with a touch of grass. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and oily. Flavor is pretty nice, with citrus hops that give way to the typical begian yeast. Finish is bitter and peppery. I liked it, but not my favorite Side Project.
Backlog, Bottle shared with Shaun and Patrickfannon in 2011. Pours hazy orange with a medium sized head and nice lacing. Aroma of Granny Smith apples, vanilla, pear, pine, grapes and banana. Medium bodied with a soft, supple texture. Flavor is most of same with a unique balance of IPA and belgian. Boozy close. Pretty good experiment. ctipping (2280) - Florida, USA - JUN 18, 2015
12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. Clear golden color with a white head that leaves quite a bit of lacing. The lacing doesn’t last long, though. Yeast dominated. Some citrusy hops and some caramel malt. Mostly I smell the yeast, though. I’d expect more hoppiness from an IPA. Taste is yeast centered too. It has a good hop profile in the flavor. A lot of bitterness in the finish. Pronounced Belgian flavor to it. It’s extremely dry in the finish, especially after it warms. I’d rather it were lower in alcohol with a bit more body in the finish. Tasty, though. djd07 (16307) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 17, 2015
On tap at Hopjacks. Pours a cloudy orange with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is pine and citrus, Medium mouth, strong hop bite, nice bitterness with resin finish, very good. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - MAY 6, 2015
Bottle: Golden-yellow with a gradient of amber & copper. Very hazy & cloudy with a fluffy white head. Muted aroma of apple skins, clove, generic spice, white grape, banana, & slightly spicy Belgian yeast. Not as hoppy as expected. Flavor is loaded with sweet molasses & sugary fruits, sweetbread, clove, coriander, mint, bubblegum... Tastes more like a trippel than anything. Light grassy & leafy essence from the hops. Raw florals with a hint of rubbing alcohol towards the finish. Lingering notes of bread, malt sugars, faint caramel, & mild earth. Heavy mouth feel. Didn’t really love this one. aumentm (750) - North Carolina, USA - APR 23, 2015

2010 vintage: A hazed dark amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light cherries, faint floral hops. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramle with smooth candy sugar and pleasant floral hops, licorice, light signs of oxidation, working well with the style, piney grapefruits, very nice. (from March 2012 notes).
Label proclaims "2010 vintage". After some warming, poured into a Unibroue snifter.
A - orange-amber color; hazy with a short-lived, bone colored head. Spotty lacing left on the glass.
S - True to style with fruit, spice and floral esters dominate a light malt background. Hints of orange/tangerine, white pepper, ripe banana and pear.
M - Moderate carbonation; medium body; a slightly dry finish
T - Bittersweet flavor with plenty of malt toastiness and a clear spicy-earthy hop component. Mildly astringent, peppery and bitter. Less fruity than aroma indicates. Hoppy. Lightly spicy and yeasty.
O - A tasty Belgian style IPA with initially subdued hops and a very well-hidden, high ABV. Darkmagus82 (2303) - - SEP 1, 2014

Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – Served a hazy orange colored brew with a one finger white head. The head has a moderate level of retention slowly fading to give a lighter level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – Overall the smell was on the lighter side. Some bready and biscuit aromas created a bulk of the light aroma with a small amount of floral hop. Mixed with these were some aromas of tropical fruit and an orange citrus as well as some smells of a yeasty and spice aroma. The spice was of a nutmeg and coriander smell producing a very , while light, Belgian like aroma.
Taste – The taste is very Belgian triple like in the beginning with just a touch more hop flavor. It begins with a bready and somewhat citrus sweet flavor. There is a good presence of a yeasty and banana flavor upfront that gets even stronger as the taste advances to the middle. Some spice flavors of coriander and nutmeg mixed with a bit of orange peel become more pronounced toward the middle of the taste. Soon however the flavor starts to distance itself from the standard triple once more peppery and hoppy flavors start coming to the tongue more toward the middle to the end. Some bitter grapefruit hop mixed with a floral hop take the taste to its end where a bitter and malty, somewhat drier flavor, is left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side for the style and for the abv with a carbonation level that is average to just a touch below average. Both were rather appropriate for the style and were a good combination for the citrus, hop, and spice flavors of the brew.
Overall – It starts out very Triple like and then advances to being much more hop bittered. A little more bitter at the end then is quite complementing of the sweeter triple flavors, but interesting and quite drinkable none the less. Not bad and worth a try.

Honey brown pour, smallish head. Aroma of both belgian esters and floral hops. Flavor was honey, belgian yeast and brown sugar. A little too sweet and syrupy. A noticeable alcohol burn. Not bad.
