COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Time traveling in at number 16 in our Side Project series of beers is Phlux Capacitor. This wood aged bully is brewed to an unknown style from another dimension. Rumor has it that this beer was the first invented on planet Vulcan on Saturday, November 5, 1955 at 10:04 pm. Scribbled on the back of a sports almanac inside an abandoned Delorean. It is said that the speedometer in the car was frozen at 88 miles per hour and it took 1.21 gigawatts of power to jumpstart the car back to the future. We hope you enjoy our interpretation of this totally fictitious ale.

otakuden (1783) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Appearance: Murky woods with mahogany highlights under a thin tan head which lingers thin and bubbly.
Nose: Boozy and spicy with candied apples and cinnamon sticks. Skor bars. Candied apples and orchards. Burnt caramel and mulled cider. Fruitcake in the back that finishes vegetal. Slight nip of heat in the back.
Palate: Spicy and dry a whole heck of a lot drier than expected. Acrid and bitter in the back with ash and brittle burnt black sugars. Apple seeds and twigs. Band-Aids.
Final Thoughts: Okay. Band-Aids in beer is not a good thing, and Im not talking real band aids. This is known as a brewing flaw which can be attributed to many things. Maybe I had a bad bottle or it was old or something, but I unfortunately could drink no more than needed to take tasting notes. Back to the drawing board on this one or someone get me a new bottle.
