Can from Wegmans and Smiths. Pours hazy black with minimal head. Nose is huge smoked malt, almost to the level of the Aecht beers. Tastes very woody, dark malty, with a lot of rauchy notes, some molasses, and a sadly razor thin palate after all that smoke on the nose. Like a cigar that smells great but tastes like ass once you light it, this one is a huge let down.

Can. Black pour with mocha head. Smoky, roasty aroma. Lots of smoke in the flavor, roast malts almost licorice. More of a smoked beer than a Baltic Porter, but a good smoke beer.

3/27/17. 12oz can from Beach’s in FWB. Black pour with a light tan head that sticks and laces well. Smoke apparent on the aroma, but not too much, meaty, smokey, malty. The smoke is a touch much in the flavor, though. Smokey, meaty, a hint acidic/rancid, covers other aspects of what the beer could be.

I love Baltic porters and smoked beers so put the two together and you have a winning combination. Not really sure why this is listed as Baltic, but no matter. Aroma was good. Strong chocolate and roasted malt smells. Pour was a lovely deep dark brown/near black with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was delicious. With the lack of smoke in he aroma I was worried, but it was there. Tasted like a good Baltic Porter. Heavy chocolate and black licorice flavors with just a wisp of smoke in he middle. Big, roasty and malty. Mild carbonation.

Pours tar black with a creamy off white head. Strong smoke aroma with some roasted malt and licorice. Smoke dominant flavor with some roasted malt coffee, and hint of dark fruit.

Medium tan head, fairly lasting with some thin lacing. Awful black Porter. Medium smoked nose, hint of meat, bandaids. Body is medium, slick, low carbo. Lil charcoal, lil soy and licorice. Dry, smokey finish. Fuckintuna. 12oz cans from statelineliquors.

Can. The look is dark, tan head, black in color. The smell is cola candy, smoke, malt, burnt, cherry, ash. The taste is more ashy, burnt, smoke, licorice, slight cherry.
