COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Terrapin Side Project #9: The Dark Side, a Belgian Style Imperial Stout. Come on over to "The Dark Side" for the latest brew in the Terrapin "Side Project" series. Brewed with evil intentions, this Belgian Style Imperial Stout is made with copious amounts of dark grains that make this beer as dark as the underside of Vader’s cape. "The Dark Side" is fermented with a unique Belgian yeast strain which sets this Imperial Stout light years ahead of its time.

22oz bottle, thanks nimbleprop. Small tan head atop brown-black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, chocolate, honey, some Belgian yeast, light alcohol astringency. Taste is moderately sweet, Belgian yeast, cocoa, some alcohol. Medium body.

Bottle shared at the chicagoland ratebeer tasting. Pours pretty much black with a small tan head. notes of cocoa, chocolate, cobwebs, dough, dust, and a little earth. Not bad, but I much prefer wake-n-bake!

A good beer for what is it. has a nice warm feeling of alcohol with a lots of dark malts, fruits slight woodish and subtle hops. the beer is a nice after thought to a fine meal.

On tap at redlight redlight. Pours very dark brown/black with a thin tan head. Very little lacing.smells a bit funky with some roasted malts and caramel sweetness present.Taste is close to the same... roasty and funky. Some nutty flavors linger on the palate for a while after the beer is gone. decent brew that shouldn’t be passed up, but I don’t know if I’d seek it out a second time.

Not sure where the Belgian part of this is, just tastes like a mediocre Imperial Stout. Burnt coffee, lots of chocolate, lots of caramel. Bleh.

Dark brown black, with a chocolatey aroma. Taste was the same with a thick and cloying fruity perfume that I found mildly revolting. I will have to try a bottle, since the taps may have been foul, though they were new.

bottle into my Narke tulip...Pours a light black, the head is light tan as well, light carbonation, a head of about half a finger that is gone right away, no lacing...The aroma and taste are both very light and almost boring. Light coffee, a little sweet, just blah. Light feel on the mouth, but this is decently drinkable. I crushed a bottle my self pretty quickly.
