COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Terrapin’s 2014 homebrew contest winners have created "Turtleneck" gingerbread winter warmer ale. Initially brewed in the backwoods of Athens, Georgia, or someone’s kitchen, this gingerbread cookie inspired beer was artfully crafted by a crack team of Terrapin employees. Since no gingerbread men or women were harmed in the making of this beer, we hope you will enjoy with a clear conscious.

ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - APR 24, 2017
Poured from a 22 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear dark mahogany with a medium sized off-white head. smells like gingerbread and tastes the same. very nice.

22oz bottle. Poured a brown color with a tan head. Gingerbread, spices, and chocolate. I’m just not a gingerbread beer fan.

bubbleflubber (2244) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - JUL 2, 2016
Pours an amber-mahogany into the glass, with an initially large frothy eggshell head that reduces to a moderate cap that leaves window-wash lacing. The nose is of truly of gingerbread and spices. Flavors of gingerbread, soft notes of butter cookies and bran cereal, mulling spices and pale malt finish with Allspice, ginger and nutmeg, while light berries linger in the effervescence. The body is medium-light with ABV completely hidden. A little thin mouthfeel is accompanied by semi-zesty carbonation to the palate. Overall, it’s a "light (feeling)" version of a traditional "winter warmer", but tasty nonetheless. Decent.

oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 11, 2016
Pours a medium amber. Big aromas of ginger/nutmeg/coriander. Gingerbread flavor was too strong for me, I had force myself to finish the bottle.

Syzzer (736) - Oregon, USA - MAR 26, 2016
Poured from bomber 3-25-16 with Bryan. Syrupy. Many characteristics of a Scottish ale, some metallic character. Not as bready, very little nutmeg/vanilla/cinnamon or other gingerbread qualities as one would expect. 4.8 bd, 7.5 bry (not special)

hershiser2 (3879) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - FEB 24, 2016
$8.49 bomber from Market Street Wine Shop uptown. Pours brown with a fluffy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, gingerbread, graham crackers, caramel. Taste is ginger cookies, chocolate, strangely tart dark fruits. Good not great. Definitely expected more.

PartyFowle (954) - - JAN 30, 2016
Dark chocolate brown with a little bit of clarity and a silky, fizzy tan top layer. Aroma’s a nice little blend of burnt ginger snap cookies, raisins and alcohol. Flavor leads with piquant gingery spice and finishes with mild dark fruits and a flash of booze. Simple and straightforward.

Jabah (572) - Bethesda, Maryland, USA - JAN 9, 2016
Pretty much a winter warmer or imperial brown with spices added. Not quite my style, but something decent to share on Christmas Eve. Ginger up front with some heavy caramel malts, etc. Has a little heat to it from the ginger, but very mild. Darker brown semi-cloudy appearance. Has some sweetness. Good...but not great.

John25 (1291) - Middletown, New Jersey, USA - JAN 1, 2016
Bottle from a year ago. Very dark ruby. Huge gingerbread and graham cracker aroma. The taste is bland with a thin feel. Slight cherry tart flavor. The aroma seriously outweighs the taste and feel on this one. Ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Backlog from the Brony Bottle Share at Travlr’s. Dark brown with bare head. Gingerbread spices, doughy malt. Eh.
