22 oz. bottle, courtesy of and split with Glouglouburp (thanks Dany). Pours a mostly clear coppery orange with a huge white foamy head. Aroma is quite dusty and earth, with sweaty clothes, floral and earthy hops, apple cider and dust – doesn’t smell so fresh, really. Flavour is very doughy, fresh dough to be exact, light floral hops and a bit of subtle apple cider. Tastes more like a semi-fresh doughy pale ale – not very hoppy at all, but easy drinking dough bomb. Solid, but flawed. jtclockwork (17654) - , New Jersey, USA - NOV 22, 2011
Bottle. Pours reddish amber. Nose/taste of sweet malt, resin, dark caramel malt, pine and fresh grass. Slightly dry finish. Medium body. Tmoney99 (15130) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 14, 2010
Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate earthy hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met. 22 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA, on 10/17/10. Pours a slightly hazy copper abmer color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of very green hops, vegetal notes, some floral notes and a bit of a chemical note. The taste is bitter, fresh hops with resin and melon notes, with some faint caramel malts and then a bitter finish. Medium bodied. I love wet hopped beers and I generally like Terrapin’s stuff, but this one misses the mark a bit for me.
