Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a clear amber color with a thin frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of caramel malts, floral hops, some citrus notes. The taste is toasted malts, caramel, bitter citrus and pine hops. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. crossovert (14006) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 25, 2014
Obviously an older bottle. It is stale, herbal, unfortunately i got to tick this one too late, don’t buy it if you still see it somewhere and dont trade for it. Dogbrick (13986) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 12, 2013
Sample at the Beers from the Bikes Villes tasting on 11/08/2013. Slightly murky orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of grapefruit, piney hops and toasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average overall. My Bottom Line: blipp (9782) - La Mesa, California, USA - FEB 8, 2014
Foresty and floral hoppiness dominates this lightly caramelized Harvest Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the misty amber.
-The floral character takes more and more room as the pint warms up.
-Malts aren’t very well developed; a few sugars and that’s it.
-The leafy hop bitterness is smooth for the style.
-This might have been bolder a month or two ago, but it cannot have had more clarity.
Draft at Iron Monkey. Pretty obviously old. Sweet malts, fruity hops, toffee, low bitterness. I don’t know why this was still on draft. Not good. FROTHINGSLOSH (8164) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 18, 2013
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a murky orange-amber color with a small foamy white head that faded and left no lacing. The aroma was tangy and somewhat bitter with notes of grapefruit, orange and sugar. The flavor was bitter and tangy with notes of tropical fruits, grapefruit, orange, a bit of pine and undertones of caramel and yeast. medium length bitter and tangy tropical fruits and orange. Medium body. Ok. Boutip (6562) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 21, 2014
Bottle: Poured an orangey color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of fresh green hops with pungent notes that are somewhat interesting. Taste is also dominated by fresh green hops notes with some pungent notes and some lightly sweet caramel malt that is also noticeable. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not bad but I am not sure Centennial is the best hops for single hops IPA and too bad I didn’t notice the dating on the bottle before buying. Suttree (6521) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 9, 2013
Orange, splotchy white head. Smells grainy, grassy, with notes of citrus. Taste is piney and citrusy, with notes of cereal and stale bread. Seemed a bit off, to tell the truth. Seemed to lack something.
