2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear brown with a finger of tan head. Aroma is not terribly strong but there are some hints of malt with a yeasty hop backbone. Flavor is mosyly smooth and malty with not much complexity. There are hints of some smoky-sweet nuttiness which barely peaks through and then there is a slight rubbery aftertaste. This is still a very drinkable beer but definitely a far cry from Terrapin’s best.
Tree hugger ale is all about fun. It has amazing finish and light appearance. Nice light aroma. alobar (3759) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Chestnut amber pour with no head. Aroma of nuts, hops, and toffee. Toffee and caramel sweetness with touch of fruit and hops. Nice beer. zach8270 (4022) - Henrietta, New York, USA - NOV 2, 2014
(bottle - 12 oz) Clear brown pour with a thin off-white head. Light aroma of mainly sweet malts. Flavor is incredibly mild, almost to the point of non-existent sadly. Not bad, just not flavorful. ordybill (1738) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - SEP 24, 2014

Bottle… Clear amber pour with copper highlights and a small, creamy, white head. The nose offers a blend of spicy hops and pistachio pralines - they probably don’t exist, but they should. Medium to full-bodied with tingly carbonation. Leans a touch toward the bitter side of balance, but also offers generous measures of caramel and nuttiness. Finishes hearty, toasty and lightly bitter. Not quite like any altbier I’ve tried before. I dig it.

The aroma is malty and dusty with grain husks and grassy hops. The appearance is amber with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall an average beer. Bork (455) - Rosewood, Georgia, USA - AUG 2, 2014
Very pleasant dark Altbier with a solid malty base and some spicy hops sprinkled on top and into the aftertaste. Slightly watery.

Draft. Brownish color, sweet malty aroma with a little bit of hops. Very mild tasting; easy to drink; somewhat refreshing. Not a bad beer. Kinda liked it.
