On tap at Kickbacks, 3/6/12, black pour with a thin tan head, aroma is very sweet with some notes of coffee coming through, flavor has a little chocolate with a lot of vanilla as well, doesn’t come together though, thin finish, really wanted more out of this. mlunger12 (645) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 16, 2011
On cask at Proof for a Terrapin Night, dark with some frothy, creamy, slighty tan head that sticks around for a bit. Very subdued from the regular version, all the flavors are more muddled, a bit more complex, sweet and not as burnt on the back end. I really can’t taste any Vanilla, it must be lost in the maze of coffee and oats. Still not bad. drowland (9057) - Georgia, USA - JAN 12, 2011
First to rate! 1/12/11. On cask at Proof in Tallahassee. I basically have one word to describe this brew: subdued. The vanilla was practically imperceptible. In fact, the brewer was contacted to confirm. Basically it was regular Wake-n-Bake but creamy and subdued. Still delicious, but loaded more with chocolate flavors and the like as opposed to huge coffee and what I was hoping to be huge vanilla. Still quite tasty, but just not what was expected.
