Perfect blend of flavors and scents! This beer is tha bomb! The coffee flavor is understated, yet present. The oatmeal flavor is prevalant, but good. A great combination of flavors, and a great beer! Riccardi50 (19) - Montreat, North Carolina, USA - MAY 4, 2008
Tap @ Barley’s Taproom - This is a super dark stout with a dark brown head when poured. Absolutely amazing. Rich coffee and chocolate favors. The coffee taste goes perfectly with the natural favors of the stout. mholdefer (6) - Northport, Alabama, USA - AUG 16, 2009 does not count
One of the best beers I’ve ever tasted - like an oatmeal cookie dipped in an espresso - with a long lasting lacy head and a full bodied flavor - get one if you can BeeriedEyed (211) - USA - JUL 29, 2011
Probably my favorite imperial stout. It smells very sweet. The taste is very strong like black coffee. A very heavy beer. Can’t really say how much this is a great beer other than drinking it when I get the chance. SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - JAN 4, 2012
2010. Pours pitch black with a dark mocha head. Smells strongly of coffee and roasted notes with hints of alcohol. Tastes (AMAZING) of strong coffee with some roasted notes. Full-bodied with a smooth, gummy texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Terrapin Wake ’n’ Bake finishes with some soft bitterness.

When God created beer this is what he had in mind. The coffee flavor is subtle and gives way to more chocolatey taste once it settles. The deep color shouldn’t fool you, this beer is not as heavy as it looks. World of beer usually has this in stock.

Fantastic coffee stout with a good flavor, maltiness and coffee balance well with a good heat from the alcohol content. This is a top five coffee stout for me. auee92 (14) - Lawrenceville, USA - MAR 6, 2014

My favorite coffee stout and one of my top favorite beers. This beer is incredible. I prefer it fresh as the coffee flavor is so fresh and pure. Smell is that warm feeling when you first smell a fresh pot of great coffee on a chilly morning. No alcohol (at 9.4% for 2014) in the smell or taste what so ever. Smooth roasted creaminess, super balanced fresh coffee blended with slight vanilla and finishes with a nice light coffee lingering with a sticky Carmel mouth feel. Such a well crafted brew! eboats (1082) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - FEB 8, 2006
Served at room temperature to my fuckingSELF and one good friend. It is moments like these, when I get to try a beer like this that make life have meaning. It makes life so much better, and reminds me to love the simple things. Thank you Georgia and whoever it was that sent this in the random 6 pack trade. My god this is exquisite. Poured black with a dark brown head, just glorious looking. Aroma looks like what the guy is cooking on the bottle. Chocolate chip cookies, coffee, and oatmeal. Lush malt body that is oh so creamy. Flavor is chocolate, cookie dough, coffee, and oatmeal. This is oh so smooth and flavorful. Truly a treat.
