The sun is out, the pool is open, and our Watermelon Gose is in cans and on the way to a store near you just in time for summer.

Inspired by salted watermelon, a summer treat, Terrapin Beer Co. set out to brew a Gose perfect for summer sipping. The beer has a watermelon aroma, a distinct lactic tartness and subtle watermelon flavor. Pour this beer into a stange glass, or drink it straight out of the can. Pairs well with light summer dishes like Thai shrimp and watermelon salad.

A wonderfully beckoning gose, keeps me coming back for more. Light sour flavoring, smooth mouth, and a short palate. Let it sit a while to warm if it's too cool. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a rusty copper pour with no lasting head. Nose is upfront watermelon , sweet and floral. Taste is salty watermelon with some trailing spice. Finishes on the salty watermelon notes, a very tasty Giselle. Quaff Score 8 / 10....7-3-7-3-17

Hazed gold medium sized white head. Soft grain and a bit of melon. Medium bodied, watermelon cuts through, nice and salty. Slow salt and grain, a touch of acidity. Crisp and easy.

Can. The color was a clear gold with a quickly disipating white head The aroma was light hops with only a hint of watermelon. The taste was tart and salty. This one was growing on me, but alas it was gone.

Pale golden color, decent carbonation, and small head. The aroma was that of ripe watermelon, malt vinegar, and some lemon. The taste was quite salty, which followed by watermelon providing a bubblegum like taste. I love watermelons with salt sprinkled on, but the flavor of this beer didn’t meld together as well as I was hoping. The finish was tart and the feel light and quenching. I like the concept better than the final result.

Tap at Gambrinus. Pours a light gold with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Lemony nose with a touch of grain and watermelon rind. Lots of watermelon on the palate. Grainy texture.

Pale gold with a thin, white head and a faint, watermelon nose. Light and well-carbonated mouthfeel, with watermelon present early and lasting through a long, dry, somewhat salty finish.

Super hazy golden coloured body with almost no head at all, just a touch of a pure white layer atop. Aroma of watermelons, wheat, citrus, vinegar, light malt and a dose of pure sugar. Super Light-bodied; Strong watermelon and malt notes at first with a relatively large bitterness at first that dies after the sweet and slightly salty notes kick in. Aftertaste shows some more wheat and coriander seed, some grass and grain and another light bout of sweetness and a bunch of watermelon freshness, mixed with just a dash of salt. Overall, a nice offering, that shows the style well, has some good watermelon flashes, but just gets a touch too bitter and malty. I sampled this sixteen ounce pour on draught at Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 21-June-2017 for US$5,00 sampled at the end of my driveway.
