1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
It looks like beer, the taste is very light, and it’s quite fizzy. It’s good to get some in and keep them in the fridge because it’s only £1 for 4. It’s inoffensive, and good for if you like to quaff quite a lot of beer in one sitting but not get wasted. For instance, I tend to buy some decent beer, then have this for after if I still want to have some more liquid refreshment in the form of a beery tasting drink that isn’t sweet, like shandy so often is. Better than drinking 2 litres of coke.
440 ml can from Tesco Wokingham, sampled on June 26, 2017. BB 28 feb 18.javiercrasher (577) - Granada, SPAIN - JUN 18, 2017
Clear amber color, fluffy lasting white head. Malty, grainy scent. Chalk, thin taste. Chalk aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.
Though this did make me find my last UK county to tick, the beer itself left no lasting happy memories, boring and bland.
Con tan poco alcohol e intentado hacer algo barato era difícil que saliera bien. Aguada, sin gas, un desastre. BB 31/01/2018 BlackHaddock (7329) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2017
20th May 2017: Cotteridge tasting #3. 4 cans of this knocking around, I used it to swill my glass out and cleanse my palate on a couple of times instead of water. Scopey (14723) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2017
Cans (a 4-pack) at Cotteridge Convention 2017. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The aroma is very subdued.... clean, bready, soda water, toasted grain and that’s about it. The taste is light, smooth, mellow, watery, no bitterness whatsoever, toasted grain and hint of earthy malt.Light body, moderate carbonation and watery mouth-feel. Inoffensive weak beer.Good palate cleanser. Mr_Pink_152 (4991) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAY 21, 2017
Used to clean my glass between a couple of other brews at the cotteridge beer convention 2017. I guess its what you’d expect from this kind of bitter, not much to it.
