Bottle at home in London. Pours crystal clear gold, lightly effervescent with a fairly strong, white froth head. Nose is rife with that rich aroma of pasteurisation, biscuity bread, slight vegetal notes. Light sweet flavor with some leafy bitterness, dry bread, biscuits, mellow bitterness, touches of wood. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty crisp and clean to finish with more dry, leafy bitterness, some lightly toasted, biscuity malts. It’s a little bit watery. There are hints of citrus in the background. Not at all offensive. Koelschtrinker (20398) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAR 23, 2013
Mild hopfiger Antrunk mit leichter, angenehm milder Herbe. Helle Getreidenoten, etwas trocken, süffige Würzigkeit. Hier wird gehalten was versprochen wird, ein simples nettes IPA. 11/11/11/11/11/11 harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 30, 2013
Bottle from Tesco. Clear gold amber beer. Aroma a bit like Old Empire from the same brewery. Some eggy yeast. Flavour has some toffee. Some white pepper hop on the finish. Overall fine a bit over carbonated in the mouth. bhensonb (15194) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 12, 2013
Bottle from a York Tesco Express. Pours a light amber gold. Aroma seems to have a touch of skunk (clear bottle). There’s some fruity aroma too. Well, there is a lot of hop. Enough to give a mild burn. Still think there’s a skunk touch, but if it is, then it’s not interfering too much. Bothers my mind, but that’s a small thing (the bother, not the mind). BB 31 March 14, so it shouldn’t have been around too long? Anyway it is otherwise a very tasty and excellent ale. Rating excludes my skunk concerns. imdownthepub (14554) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2013
Bottled, 500ml from Tesco, Uttoxeter, Staffs. Gold with white head. Quite a bitter start to the beer, there is a leafy, dry character to it, then a sharp slightly metallic note. A touch thin on the palate, it’s ok though.

Much better than expected! Pours golden brown withal thin white head, aroma is floral and a little biscuity. Has a good hop bite, but classic British rather than US, as you might expect. Not bad. leaparsons (10546) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2012
Bottle. Amber gold with an off white foam. Aromas are toffee and pear with earthy hops. Brown sugar and stewed apple with raisins and soft spices. Flavours are sweet apple and pear with weetabix malts and some citrus. Mixed spices with some herbal notes. Very Marstons in character. Some plastic on the aftertaste. OK. A light but balanced hops and malts brew, with not a huge amount of flavour. deanso (10134) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - MAY 12, 2014
50cl bottle from Tesco.
Thin white head. Clear golden pour. A bitter rather than an ipa. Subtle bitterness. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - DEC 28, 2013
bottle from Tesco Newton Abbot. Amber colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty base with hints of caramel and fruity hops.
