"As a result of brewing this beer in Yorkshire Squares, it has a full-bodied roasted malt flavour with just a hint of caramel. Tetley’s Cask also has a smooth hop character and bitterness derived from English hops."

Cask at the Gilmore Arms, Llandridod Wells. Pours dark gold with a small head. Aroma is light vinegar and dark fruits. Taste has a little bread and lightly sour dark fruits. Not in the best condition.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2016 Refreshing. Very smooth nitro head. Little carbonation, no sting. It?s like malty water. It?s very bland, but easy to drink. Caramel dominates, little hop flavours come through. Biscuity. Watery. Not as a good as it used to be, but it hasn’t ever been great.

May 2016 - Cask HP at The Bayswater Arms. As ’Tetleys’. Pale orange, clear, still, small off-white head doesn’t endure. Aroma has an initial touch of sulphur which dies down quickly. Then it’s sugary, flat cola. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is thin cracker malts, some white pepper, white bread, soft bitterness. Overall impression isn’t far off a flat lager. Glad to have tried this classic, as it’s one that I’ve heard many old-timers speak favourably of. Also glad that beer has moved on from this. (2.5)

Tetleys at a good pump enhances a day out, won’t mangle your brain, is refreshing and drinkable. Ale heavies will scorn it, pompous nits, it is what it is, a clubhouse session bitter, good with sandwiches, pork scratchings, watching Leeds Utd. Creamy head that stays as Northerners like, adds to the pleasant mild malty biscuit. Quaff and quaff again, unfancy mass market aimed session bitter, does its modest job very well.

Pours well enough to overly sweet very drinkable but bland with it typical macro stuff

Cask at New Inn, Great Preston. Pours caramel brown with an off white head. Watery, so so watery, biscuit finish. This is truly shocking, even worse than mass produced keg bitter.

Third of a pint on draft at the Tennants Arms in the Yorkshire Dales. Earthy, dry. A pleasant bitter, and a lot better than I was expecting (or remembered).

From cask at Circus tavern with KL, LH and KS 10.05.15. Golden. Dense and persistent off-white head and lacing. Caramel and malt in aroma and taste, balanced with English hops in aroma. Slightly crude bitterness in aftertaste. A bit waterish and metallic.

Pint on tap at The Castle View, Deganwy. Creamy fruity nose, still golden/bronze beer with solid creamy head. Medium body, bitter at first but finishes with a little toffee. There’s a touch of sour fruitiness in there somewhere. Nothing special but good session ale.

Pint from Waddington pub. Very very disappointing beer but I won at pool!

Cask at the JDW Bishop Vesey; clear golden amber pour with a big creamy off white head, fruity aroma, taste has malt, fruit and twigs.
