bartlebier (4123) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2013
UPDATED: AUG 7, 2014 Draughts on site + 33cl bottles at home 2012-13 (must have slipped through the notes after previous on-site visits). This truly is a SW-regional Pilsner that showcases the delicate and insidiously assertive local Tettnang hop, as well as regionally typical fine almond pale malts. Single hop Pilsner avant la lettre. Aroma and taste dominated by the Tettnanger fresh grass and white pepper aromas, almond dry palate, lingering natural hop bitter finish. Hardly a sessioning Pils, as it does slowly wreak its revenge on the palate due to being nearly overhopped with Tettnang - plus a bit pricey at that - but whoever rates this lovingly handcrafted, headstrong Tettnang-forward Bio-Pils on par with a hop extract macro supermarket shelfer needs their Pils palate readjusted and sense of regionalism reinstated ... // Rerate from draught @Tettnanger Hopfenwandertag 2014: easily the best pilsner of the festival, with a real Tettnang bouquet/Blume, fragrant and rich. Getting harder and harder this side of Franconia and CZ to get pils this characteristic. The DE version of Victory Prima Pils.

Quack-Duck (9533) - Down South, GERMANY - NOV 3, 2015
bottle from Weinkauff Markdorf. Golden yellow with a mid-sized white head, loevly malty-hopoy nose, like the other Tettnanger beers - very alluring. Light-bodied yet with a good malty base delivering fragrant Tettnang hops, very fresh. Good, good beer.

BeerandBlues2 (13825) - Escondido, California, USA - JUN 1, 2016
Draught at the Brauerei. Pours clear and sparkling gold with a large, frothy white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy grainy Pils malt and moderate spicy hops. Flavor is crisp Pils malt, moderate spicy hops and bitterness, clean with a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts fine hoppy, modest dry, some fruity hints of lemon. Fine grasy. Finish with more malty notes, a bit spicy. Quite drinkable. Nice!

Trockener, würzig herber Antrunk. Erdnussig, weiterhin moderat hopfig, was sich mit der Herbe noch intensiviert. Grasig, fruchtig, rund. 10/12/11/10/11/11

Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - FEB 27, 2014
Hazy yellow pour, thin white head. Aroma of grassy, fruity hops, slighty buttery and floral. Flavor is quite bitter, fruity and nicely balanced. Very nice pilsener.

Bottle: Pale golden to golden, a bit hazy, small loose white head, mild but distinctive herbal ( almost Saazy) hoppy nose, some pale malt underneath; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied and soft; slightly lingering Saazy-malty finish. Nice semi-bohemian Pils…
