Really nice brown with big malty aroma and taste. Light feeling without at all seeming watery. RobertDale (6983) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - OCT 13, 2014
Sample at GABF 2014. Comes brown with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and dark fruit. Taste is the same. Somewhat on the sweet side. Decent. Rocketman2013 (108) - Texas, USA - JUN 8, 2014
Malt forward aroma of whole wheat toast and chocolate with dried apricots and raisins in support. Appearance is dark brown and cloudy with a slight tan head, no persistence. Tastes of chocolate and dark bread or toast with a touch of pear and yellow raisin. Tangy with a slightly bitter finish. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Balance is toward sweetness in the lengthy finish. A full flavored, malty interpretation of a brown ale.
