UPDATED: APR 16, 2015 Pours a dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, bread, caramel, raisins. Medium sweetness. Nice body, well-balanced bock.

from tap at "de natte" beercafe. I’m not a lover of the bokbeerstyle. Most are to sweet for me. But this is not an overal sweet beer. Pours a dark red almost brown with a small lightbrown head that leaves a nice lacy foam at the edge of the glass. Aroma is bittersweet, starts sweet with a nice bitter aftertaste.

Uit de fles @ verkiezing lekkerste bockbier 2013. Mooi donker biertje met weinig schuim. Aroma van overrijp fruit. Heeft een volle afdronk met bittertje erin.

In T’Arendsnest at 6.5. Poured deep reddish brown with a frothy off white head. Aroma of sweet berries and caramel malt. Medium body, flavour is sweet dark fruit, caramel malt. Lingering sweet, fruity end.

On tap at Arendsnest. Pours a near clear deep amber with a light brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a nice combination of raisins and bread notes with a touch of dark grains. Flavor is similar and really has a raisin bread note that is backed by dark grains.

I moderately dark, smooth beer. Not what I’d expect from Germany but I thought it was very drinkable and delicious. Caramel, roast, some darker, nothing burnt. A little sweet. Hop balance but not a feature.

bonkiedeaap (750) - Leerdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 18, 2013
Bought a bottle at the liqor store in Leerdam. The beer has a ruby red hazy color and a large cream colored head, CO2 level is excellent. In thb aroma tones of caramel and roasted barley malts. In the taste the sweetness of the caramel with a light bitter. The finish is light sweet and a light bitter because of the use of hops. A really nice Bock, one of the best in Holland.

On draught. Pours very dark. Nice carmelly and sweet, but with earthy undertones and a little bit bitter after taste. Overall a nice bok.

DwarfeD (3450) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2013
Draught at Amersfoorts Bockbier Festival. Dark red/brown with an off-white head. Medium body with medium/high carbonation. Sweet with a bitter finish. Toffee, roasted malts, dark fruits. Pretty ok, but not the best bock.
