Mooie oranje kleur met een tegenvallende kraag. Weinig geur, typisch weizengeur. Smaakt beetje flauw. Ietsje citrus en een kleine bitter aan het eind.

Older bottle @ home. Basicly tastes overwhelmingly sweet with a decent amount of banana and a slight hint of smokeyness. Medium body, low carbo

A yellow beer with a white head. Smell of banana, taste of banana and raisins. Nice carbonation and a little sweetness. The aftertaste is banana again. Even though brewed by Texelse, it doesn’t have the Texelse’s typical creamy mouth feel (luckily). The beer is nice, but nothing really special.

Hay colour, opaque, no carbonation and a weak head. Smell is peppery leathery with spices: cumin, clove with some spruce. Full salty fizzy taste, well balanced. Hints of banana and zest with maybe some more cumin. Salty watery finish. Subtly bitter.

Fruity and fresh weizener. Body of wheat of course, with nice notes of orange and citrus.

Bottled, BB 05/07/2014, large sample. Slightly hazy golden color, short frothy off-white head. Aroma has some dusty yeasty notes, grain, wheat, citrus, pate (leverpastei)?. Bit too carbonated. Bit sweet, bit bitter taste. It completely lacks the thickness of a good german hefeweizen. Finishes a bit thin. Strangely enough, I get more yeast esters from a belgian type yeast, than from a german hefeweizen yeast? Strange.

Bottle at home, 300 ml, poured into a weizen glass. ABV 6%. Light orange colour, a bit hazy, with a beautifully formed white hed on top, very thick, soapy, with fantastic retention. It took ages for the foam to start collapsing, yet alone disappearing. Lots of banana on the aroma, along with a tad of clove. Smells great! Taste is quite nice too, a bit too intense maybe alcohol-wise, and the typical bananas/bubblegum/wheat flavours are not present (or so notable), instead a light metallic flavour appears. Thankfully it doesn’t last long and it gives its place to a faint fruitiness - here is the banana!. Mildly bitter on the aftertaste. Medium thin body. Carbonation on good levels. Overall this was not a typical hefeweizen in any way. The aromas were there but the taste was more of an average belgian ale. Strange beer, but surely a nice and refreshing one,and although alcohol is more than notable on the taste, its drinkability remains high.
