COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Texels Goudkoppe is the top fermented blond craft beer with 6% abv. It has a smooth bitter finish due to the selected hops. The brewmaster is using the purest ingredients, like dune-filtered water, local malted barley, hops and yeast. Unfiltered and bottle fermented, this beer is a real thirst-quencher. Best served at 4-6 degrees Celsius (39-43 F)

Bottled. Hazy yellowish orange colour, mediumsized beige creamy head that leaves good lace. Aroma is grains, some toffee, mild earth and some slight grassy ntoes. Flavour is sweet malts, toffee, mild spices, metallic notes as well as some grassy and grainy notes. As it warms up it gets quite bold toffeeish and loses some of the metallic notes.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2017 New rating 26/8/17 from tap @the brewery. Hazy medium golden, tall frothy white head, good retention, heavy lacing; aroma malt, light peach/apricot, yeast, caramel, honey; round creamy taste, toffee, honey, yeast; sweetbitter aftertaste, fruity notes; medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation; quite different from the old rating, rich and pleasant blond beer.
Old rating 17/10/13 (3.0), bottle 30cl. Sweet aroma, syrup, caramel, bread, grain, grass, smelly feet, hazy golden, minimal head, vanishes fast, sweetbitter taste, some fruity undertones, thin mouthfeel, finish identical to taste, maybe bit more dry, watery...

Bought a bottle at Bert’s Bierhuis. The color is gold and hazy and the beer has nice white head and a highly CO2 level. The aroma is hoppy and has some tones of citrus and a little candy. The taste is medium bitter, further is creamy, a little watery and some hints of ginger are noticable. The finish is soft and medium bitter. A nice ale, but a little standard. For a ale very expansive, I know cheaper ale’s which are much better.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2013 Van het fust met biergilde hoorn. Troebel oranjegoud kleurig bier. Zoete geuren van bloemen, in de smaak vooral zoete tonen o.a. rozenbottel. Zomerbiertje voor de massa, niet echt iets speciaals in te ontdekken.

Bottle, 300 ml,into a tulip glass. ABV 6% I had this a couple a years ago when I visited the island of Texel. On a winter. With lots of snow everywhere. And still managed to be beautiful. On to the beer. Blond, intense golden yellow colour on the body, with lots of activity in it. Big white ad thick head, with very good retention, leaving heavy lacing around the glass. Aroma has a malty backbone but also a bit of citrus and lots of flower aromas. Very pleasant and appealing. Sweet taste, with lots of malts at first, but after that a mild, but very pleasant flowery bitterness, that turns to slighty fruity on the aftertaste, with some peach notes. Thin body, light carbonation and light dryness on the palate. Overall, very enjoyable beer.

Kruiden, bloemig. Mooi goudkleurig bier. Smaak is minder goud. Beetje flauw. Prima standaard bier.
