Cant think of a better place then drinking it in texel itself! Sweet summer beer, nice one!

From the tap at Cafe de Dokter in Amsterdam. Wasn’t as dark as I was expecting....pretty light overall. Sweet, maybe a little too much.

Foam is like a see as waiter told. But it disappears. Sweetish caramel smooth aftertaste. Bit of crunchy corn.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2015 Beautiful color holding this one against the sunlight, orange, amber, light brown hazy. bread, barnyard, Brewed on a Dutch island by the same name: Texel, water is of local origin. As if you can taste the sea breeze and the island itself. This one is a repeater.

Pours an orange/Amber with an off white head. The smell is overripe banana, yeast, sweet fruit. The taste is as it smells... Lots of sweet, ripe banana ending with a bit of dryness. Light + in body with average carbonation. A bit too sweet...

15/V/15 - 30cl bottle @ the Abeels (NL) - BB: 9/IV/16 (2015-628) Thanks to the Abeels for sharing the bottle!

Clear amber beer, creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit yeasty, some banana, sweet, almonds, malty. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet, malty, some banana, sugary, almonds. Aftertaste: some marzipan, slightly bitter, malty finish.

Gangstergafje (1100) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - JUN 6, 2015
The beer has a real nice appearance. The color is a beautiful amber/orange. The beer pours a 2 centimeter layer of white foam, which disappears quick to leave thin drape of white foam. The smell is very good. Here is a little almond aroma. Here is also some roasted aroma, really subtle, but really nice. The taste also has some of those almond aspects. It also has a sweet fruity tone, which is a very nice way to balance the robust aspects of the beer. Very good brew.

Lemony aroma that is light but pleasant. Appearance true to type maybe slightly too murky. Taste is light but not memorable. Decent but not exceptional. Palate is smooth, clean mouthfeel but nothing striking. Overall just a clean beer I would recommend to anyone that can get it close to where it is brewed.
