TtV (467) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 14, 2014
Bottle 30cl. Ruby coloured with a creme head that fades somewhat. Aroma of malts and caramel. Taste is lovely balanced. Sweetness and bitterness stride for your taste pupils. Great stuff, although I am not sure why this would be called a bock beer.

Geweldig om dit bier als 4 jaar oud te drinken. Heerlijke zachte complexe smaak waar je echt van kan geniete.

Alengrin (5718) - BELGIUM - SEP 6, 2014
UPDATED: MAR 21, 2015 Top-fermented Doppelbock (which actually means ’strong ale’ apparently?) from the only brewery of the Waddeneilanden, with a creamy, yellowish white head and deep bronze colour, clear. Aroma of caramel, milk chocolate, pine resin, iron, kahlua, raisins, banana, gingerbread; smooth candied fruits in the mouth, candi syrup, caramel malts in the background, chocolatey malts too, something metallic, long and hop bitterish finish with some liqueurish, warming alcohol. Not bad and fairly true to its style - if you consider this a top-fermented Dutch Bockbier, that is.

2.4
Ulysse (539) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 25, 2014
roasty, brown, amber, hazy, minimal head, medium bitterness, flat, long finish,
