12 oz can. Theres a sticker from Total Wine on here with a 10/28/16 date, so not too fresh. Aroma is grapefruit rind, chalky candy, floral. Pours clear golden with a thick bone-white head with great retention and some lace. Taste is candy sweet and medium bitter with flavors matching the aroma. A great DIPA that I know I wouldve given a higher score if it was fresher. Even being this old, its still good.

Tap. Slightly hazy orange color with small white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, grassy, sweatsocks. Taste is tropical fruits, grassy, a bit dextro and some sweetness there. Medium carbonation. Very nice hazy-like IPA with a sweaty bite that fits.

Clear golden orange with a white head. Powerful fresh citrus over a strong sweet crystal malt backbone. Finish is sweet with tingly bitterness. Slick body. Very sweet and fresh. A good one.

12 oz single can from Lifesource in Salem OR. $2.79 Has a burnt orange coloured body..slightly hazy, with a nice large ,frothy and rocky off white head, Aroma is strongly hoppy of course. Orange peel, peach stone, spruce tip etc..nice. Taste is strangely more balanced than the aroma. The hops are still there but the over the top fruitiness is gone..and what is there is matched by a strong caramel/toffee maltiness. Mouth feel is medium thick with lowish carbonation..but moves across the tongue OK. Get a tad sticky in the end..could have used more carbonation. An OK beer..not as good as i anticipated,

Thanks to Stan for this brew. Comme on peut le lire sur la canette "If your beer is not madness, Its not beer". Ceci est donc bien une bire.

hayduke (5028) - Eureka, California, USA - NOV 25, 2016
This was shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. From the 22-oz bottle poured orange with a white head and attractive lacing. Nose of tropical fruit and citrus. Medium plus body. The flavor is rich caramel malts and lots of tropical and citrus hops. Finishes with lots of flavor and bitterness, and a little alcohol appears late. The heat at the end is my only criticism of a great beer. Every bit as good as the regular IPA.

Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Just a little white haze in this golden beer. A soapy almost white head leaves pasty lacing. A floral and honeysuckle aroma is nice. Coconut and tropical fruit. First sip brings more of the tropical fruit and spicy hop notes. Very rich malts might out weigh the hops by a smidge. There is a buttery thing here that really works. Not Diactyl, and not an off flavor at all. It is malt sourced. There is some toastiness, to it, too. Melons and sweet citrus fruit. Alcohol is not noticed and I am quite surprised to see the ABV of this. This is top shelf stuff.

Can man. Clear golden pour with a white head. Citrusy hop bouquet. Tasty, with citrusy/florally hop notes. Nice balance with a sturdy caramel malt backbone. Good body and mouthfeel.

12 oz can- Pours hazy golden with a medium large white head. Aroma is citrusy, mostly grapefruit and a bit of lemon and melon, resinous pine sap. The taste is a nicely balanced IPA, sweet malt, hoppy bitterness, citrus and pine sap, the body is medium, but seems a bit thin. Very good, based on everything i have heard about this beer, i was a bit let down, but i had very high expectations. Ended up being a very good DIPA.
