355ml can. Deep gold with a clingy and long lasting white head. Fresh nose of grapefruit, pine and orange. The taste has notes of grapefruit and orange peel. Heavy citrus aftertaste and solid pithy bitterness. Awesome.

Can at home. Pours clear Amber with decent amount of white head. Aroma is fruity, apricot citrus and faint floral pine. Taste is floral, pine, a bit of pineapple and citrus. Nice level of bitterness and overall a very clean tasting IPA. Fantastic beer.

Can. Appearance is light gold with dense white head. Huge aroma, with tropical fruit, pine, and grapefruit. Taste is spot on with the aroma, grapefruit, mango, pine, with a bitter and crisp finish. Excellent IPA in every aspect and very much what you would expect from something like Pliny. Hope to try to more of what these guys are brewing soon.

355ml can pours a golden orange color with a finger and a half of off-white head that retains well and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is pine and grapefruit with some hints of grains. Taste is a grapefruit and pine hop bitterness with a fruity and caramel malty sweetness. Grainy mouth feel. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a hop forward IPA that is worth checking out. Good stuff!

Type: 12-oz. can Glass: 9-oz. clear plastic cup From: Ridleys Family Markets in Laramie, Wyo. Price: $11.25 for a 6-pack Purchased: Nov. 18, 2016 Consumed: Nov. 18, 2016 Reviewed as: American IPA Misc.: Canned on Oct. 29, 2016 First thing I did when I got to Laramie was go to a liquor store to pick up some Melvin. Wanted to try this after trying its killer DIPA back in San Diego for a special release party. Have high hopes. Poured a straw gold yellow clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of khaki white rocky head. Lots of bubbles coming up in a straight line from the bottom of the cup. Excellent foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50) Smelled a pleasant whiff of Citra, floral, passion fruit, tropical punch, stone fruit, pine, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, hints of guava and/or papaya. Pretty sweet on the nose overall. (Smell - 4.50) Tasted rather boozy up front (looked at the can after the first taste and 7.5 pct. seemed about right). Similar tropical hops on the nose, getting floral, passion fruit, fruit punch, stone fruit, pineapple, papaya, light guava, Citra, nectarine, peach and dry cantaloupe. Tasty. Seem to be somewhat dry-hopped (Taste - 4.25) Medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Bitter, boozy finish. (Feel - 3.75) Definitely a good IPA. Would recommend it for sure. (Overall - 4.25) 4.28 95 A

Great IPA! Pour is the only downside for me with little lacing and a head that fizzles down instantly. Citrus blast on the nose with a heavy fruit laced hop profile, light pine needle, mild grassiness. Taste is tropical and citrus with tons of grapefruit and mango. Bitterness is moderate but theres a huge smack of resin and lignering citrus notes on the back side. Malt is mild and allows the hops to shine well. Well done brew!

12 oz can. Pours hazy golden with a thick off-white head with excellent retention. Aroma takes a minute to form, but its juicy citrus, berries, slightly catty. Taste is candy sweet with medium-level bitterness; flavors of citrus. This is a great beer, but I think Hubert was better.

355 ml can. Slightly hazed orange copper, firm white foam settles and mostly lasts. Mouth watering pungent aroma of tropical foresty grapefruity hop. Juicy fruity hop taste, grapefruit, citrus, lightly resinous, barely bitter, leaner pale malts, delicious. Average carbonation, medium bodied, more aggressively hopped. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)
