Grunt fill from Albertsons. Black, oily pour, small skin of dark beige head. Aroma is dark roast grains, burnt toast, coffee, and chocolate. Taste adds some sweetness, molasses to the above mentioned palate. Smooth and silky, rolls across the tongue. neepsntatties (2008) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 12, 2017
On tap at the Lardo East Melvin tap takeover. Colour...jet black with a thin khaki head. Nose...big, dried dark fruits, especially raisins, Brooks prunes and Italian prunes. Palate...tangy, boozy and almost port like with the massive dark fruits that are here. The carbonation is light and tipply on the front and mid palate and accentuates the dark grapey flavours and the notes of dark Swiss chocolate. The finish is long, tangy and teems with ganache. mcberko (18084) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 23, 2016
On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours jet black with a thick brown head. Aroma brings out dry oats, with dry coffee and a touch of dry cocoa. Flavour is robust, with lots of roasted malt, light coffee and cocoa. Robust and massive. Excellent. onceblind (9887) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 26, 2016
Black hue in the glass with a thin ring of light tan foam around the edge of the glass. Rich sweet nose that almost has a berry like tone to it like blackberry or something, but also has a semi-medicinal chocolaty nuance to it. Rich chocolate and semi berry like medicinal tone almost like raspberry cough medicine mixed with sweet dark chocolate and a roasty malt tone. Very interesting and weird and full and complex. cobaink2 (720) - seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 15, 2015
Dark roasts and a heavy milk chocolate overtone. A bit buiscuty on the nose. There are a few notes here but overwhelming milk chocolate.

Tap at Apex, post CBC
A: Pure black with a cappuccino head.
N: Roast, big milk chocolate and cocoa, mocha/espresso, vanilla, hint of caramel (from a barrel?), good maltiness, but not much hops in the mix.
T: Big sweet body, rounded bitterness.
M: Heavy oily body, prickly carbonation, dangerously hidden alcohol.
O: An excellent RIS, and doubly so if it’s not barrel aged because some of those same flavors are in here. Reminds me of Suge Knight and BA Darkness. djd07 (15106) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 4, 2015
