500ml bottle. Clear golden colour, slightly off-white head immediately disappears. Fresh apple aroma and taste, hints of oak, bittersweet and refreshing. Medium body and carbonation. Very abrupt dry finish.
Clear deep gold color with rather large white foam. Aromas of dry fermented apples, with a touch of sweet spice. Palate, light body with a thin texture, leaving a dry finish. Taste, bit bland and not impressive, dry, watery apple juice with woody notes. Overall, meh, bellow average, lacking body and depth in taste, still okay and drinkable old rascal is better one from this cidery. Lore (2733) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAR 15, 2017
Golden coloured cider with wine cellar and overripe apple aroma and sweet apple taste; ok FinnIckler (479) - GERMANY - FEB 12, 2017
Bottle from maruhn. Pours yellow. Nose is apple, wood. Palate is dry apple, oak, pear. Quite nice, a bit too dry for my taste. Gary (1999) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 6, 2016
500ml. In a Duvel tulip : Light cheese funk nose and tart rotten Apple . It’s one of those black sheep ciders - not cool like tramp or complex like scrumpy. It’s just boozy apple juice . Meh

goudgeel en sprankelend, aan de zoete kant met appelsap en een klein aardbeitje SinH4 (4759) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - AUG 28, 2016
Bottle. Golden color with small white ring. Aroma is sweet apple, a bit phenolic, a bit oak, some vanilla as well. Taste is slightly tannic, apples and vanilla, a bit phenolic as well. Ticklish carbonation. Good and easy cider with the right amount of complexity. Nice. sound67 (731) - Offenbach, GERMANY - AUG 27, 2016
One of my favorite mainstream ciders which I enjoy at the pub when I just can’t face another pint of lager OR ale. ***
Maker: Thatchers Cider, Winscombe, England ***
Cider: Thatchers (formerly: Wychwood’s) Green Goblin Oak Aged Cider (bottled, 500ml) ***
Style: Cider (cask matured) ***
ALC.VOL.: 6.0% ***
"Thatchers made Green Goblin cider for Wychwood Brewery which owned the brand. In March 2010 Thatchers Cider acquired the brand from Wychwood under licence. The cider is no longer sold under the Wychwood label. The Green Goblin from deep in the wood - 100 year-old oak vats, that is.
Made with English apples, and matured in oak vats, Green Goblin cider is a full-flavoured, bittersweet blend, beautifully balanced to give a fresh character with a medium dry finish." [cidery notes] ***
Colour: Deep golden yellow, clear, with a thin fluffy head (which disappears almost immediately) ***
Nose: Fresh apples, mild lemon, very mild oak & vanilla. ***
Mouthfeel: Medium body, not watery at all. Medium carbonation. ***
Taste: Medium-sweet apples at first, with a hint of vanilla and oak. Teensy bit of cinnamon. Initial sweet notes are gone towards the middle, with more pronounced oakiness (though not as strong as some other oak-aged ciders), apple peel. Dry, mildly bitter apple peel very much dominant in the finish. Mild aftertaste of slightly sweeter apples again.
Impressions: The oak notes are not very/too strong, fruitiness is still guaranteed. Medium sweet cider, well balanced, smooth if not terribly characterful. Goes down easily. Stew41 (2025) - Phuket, THAILAND - JUN 21, 2016
Commercial grade but clean and quaff able. Quite dry once some front palate sweetness passes and there’s some musty bitterness to finish. Has a few smarts although you have to search for them! (Villa Market 150 baht) rustbucket0873 (460) - Greenville, South Carolina, USA - MAY 12, 2016
Pours golden with, light head. Aroma is like a sour, floral, Apple, oak, vanilla, tart. Flavor is light in apple, apple peel, finished with oak. Very dry reminds me of a really dry wine. Overall the aroma is much more interesting than flavor.
